This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.

Butterfly Cottage is a 200 year old oak beamed house in a quiet cul-de-sac.

With a garden and terrace, patchwork quilts and period furniture it is ideal for a cosy getaway for up to 7 people.

The cottage is near canals and greenery and opposite a golf course. Right outside there are bus links and it is only 10 minutes walk from the vibrant village centre of Knowle and 5mins drive from 3 train stations.

The space
Three upstairs bedrooms, a downstairs lounge/bedroom and another lounge. Towards the back is a kitchen and bathroom. There is beautiful courtyard out the back and a garden out the front.

Guest access
You have the whole house. We ask you not to go into the utility cupboard where we keep stock and tools. From time to time a gardener may come by during the day but we can arrange for this to happen when convenient.

Other things to note
It's a really old house, in fact it's older than local records so we don't know how old it is, but it's at least 200 years old!. There are oak beams that you might hit your head on if you’re over 6”3’, if you are in an upstairs bedroom there's a steep original staircase, and some of the floorboards creak a bit. If you want a travel-lodge style place where everything is new, perfect and impersonal, this totally isn't the place for you. All rooms are of course clean and tidy and as well as the period furniture there are modern utilities, kitchen appliances and heating but this is an old, wonky and imperfect house! However, that is also what makes it romantic, homely and very cosy.
