Room in a boat

Enjoy a London experience like no other. Come aboard Flicka, a 100 year old Dutch Barge now on the Thames in central London. Flicka would have plied her trade on the canals of Holland but has been converted into an amazing floating home. Climb aboard and dine in the wheelhouse or on the beautiful deck. With great travel connections, including a ferry right from your doorstep, you can see London or just enjoy the superb setting and relax whilst watching the river go by.

The space
Stay in luxury in the wood lined Captains Cabin. This would have been the original quarters for the crew on board. Now a beautiful room, with portholes and an En suite, you will have a unique experience you will never forget. 

We live aboard the other end of the barge with our dog Oola.

Guest access
You will have your own private quarters in the stern of the boat with direct access and shared use of the Wheelhouse with its table for 8 and 360 views.

You can also relax on deck and enjoy the outdoor sofas, or dining table and views of the Thames.

During your stay
We live aboard at the other end of the boat. We have a dog and will be going in and out of the wheelhouse but can afford you a lot of privacy.

Other things to note
It is an old boat so please dont be alarmed by the occasional creaks and bangs.
There is a 20 to 50cm gap between the boat and the pontoon.

Hi I live on Flicka with my wife Sarah and our dog Oola. I am a Chef and do private dining for groups on the Barge on the Thames. I am completely obsessed with cooking. We like friends, festivals and good food. Living on the Thames is magical and a real privilege. It’s such a beautiful place.
