Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
St Abbs is a tranquil haven from the stresses of modern life, where you and your family can make memories which will last a lifetime.

Our cosy fishermen's cottage is perched on the cliffs overlooking the sea. You can enjoy walks with spectacular views around St Abb's Head Nature Reserve, then sit and relax above the harbour watching the fishing boats. Splash in the clear North Sea waters or just build sandcastles at the beautiful sandy beach.

St Abbs is a place you'll cherish forever.

The space
Our terraced cottage is tucked away at the edge of the village with a pretty garden and sea views.

It sleeps six, with a double bedroom on the ground floor, and a twin and a double upstairs in the eaves. The beds in the twin room can be joined into a kingsize on request. On the ground floor there is a modern accessible bathroom with both a bath and a large shower. The modern kitchen with dining area is flooded with sunlight, while the large sitting room at the front has reclining leather armchairs and sofa, and a TV.

The cottage is centrally heated throughout by an air source heat pump. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Because we look after the cottage ourselves, and work full-time, we can only change between guests on a Saturday, so only accept whole week bookings during the peak season. In the winter we can be more flexible, so feel free to make an enquiry if you just want to stay a few days.

Guest access
There is on street parking at the rear of the house. You don't have to worry about parking charges or traffic wardens in St Abbs.

The front gate opens directly onto the coastal path, where you can walk to the harbour in a few minutes or to the beautiful sandy beach of Coldingham Sands in the other direction. It is 1.5 miles along the 'Creel Path' to the nearby village of Coldingham with two traditional pubs, as well as a butchers, corner shop, and curiosity shop.

A railway station opened at Reston (4 miles away) in 2022, and there is also a mainline station at Berwick-upon-Tweed (10 miles away) which is connected to St Abbs by a bus service. The bus also serves Coldingham and Eyemouth. Eyemouth is the local shopping town with a good range of local shops and takeaways.

You can drive to Berwick in about 20 minutes, or to Edinburgh in an hour.

Other things to note
There is a self-contained 'granny-flat' attached to the cottage which we sometimes use for ourselves or family and friends. We will ensure this doesn't disturb you.
