Starview is a luxury glamping pod at Mirriemora Starpods in south mainland Shetland. Surrounded by open landscape and dark skies, it’s a peaceful place to relax and, on clear nights, watch the northern lights.
Inside you’ll find a kitchenette, dining area, sofa bed, TV, Bluetooth speakers, king size bed and bathroom with full shower. Close to St Ninian’s Isle, and the beautiful South Mainland coastline.

Nestled in a beautiful rural landscape my beautiful pod from award winning manufacturer Lune Valley Pods, Starview, is ideally situated for the unique experience of viewing the northern lights/aurora borealis, with minimal light pollution in a remote area and facing north you have the best opportunity here! One guest has already provided us with a stunning picture (on listing), could you be the next? Our pod not only offers the chance to see the northern lights, it combines comfort, style and a feeling of home from home. Every design detail has been considered to ensure every guest has a comfortable stay with all the expected amenities. Every detail has been well thought out from the kitchenette with modern appliances, the bathroom with full size shower, right through to the lounge area with Bluetooth speakers, dining area, sofa bed and tv.
The true appeal of Starview is the location, not only a prime spot for witnessing the northern lights but a place of tranquillity and peace. Guests can explore freely the surrounding landscape with several walkable track routes, as well as field/hill walking , both ideal for hikers and anyone who wants to get out and about.
Regardless of the rural setting the accommodation is easily accessible by car or bicycle with plenty of level parking available onsite.

The entire pod is private and solely for your use, the utility building is a shared space for the site. It contains the washing machine, 2 tumble dryers and cleaning supplies.

Sorry! Please note we are unable to accommodate cot beds for infants. We are very happy for children to stay (I am a parent of 4!) but please do bear in mind the size restrictions of my pod mean that travel costs cannot be provided or used.
