I asked many questions and Jon was helpful and responsive. They accommodated our diets, vegan and many allergens. The place is such a lovely escape and they can arrange all of the fun to come to you instead of going into town. We had a bird tour, night creatures tour and fishing. It was paradise.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin, the views of the river were incredible. Cheryl and Jon were communicative and helpful throughout our stay.

Jon and Cheryl are an amazing pioneering couple who have built this wonderful cabana, the farm and every thing on it including the road! It's set next to the river with dramatic views of the forest from the full height glazing and outdoor decks. It’s lovely to see clouds forming and rising over the trees in the morning! Saw delightful birds, the local family of capuchin monkeys moving through the trees, and frogs serenaded us in the evening! Watch and listen to the forest from the outdoor bathroom's fabulous Japanese inspired bath. The cabana has the feel of an old colonial home, beautifully crafted all from materials on the farm. Mindfully furnished and equipped, you want for nothing! There are walking tracks around the farm. Don't miss Jon's tour of the farm growing sugar cane, coffee, chocolate and their own lovely aged rum. Breakfasts and freshly cooked meals served in the cabin were lovely. Advise insect repellant, and be aware the swollen river can be full on in rainy season.

Cheryl has a beautiful cabin, as a solo female traveler I felt extremely safe and Cheryl was easy to get into contact with if I ever had a question! There was plenty of walking routes to see the gorgeous scenery. Truly did not spend enough time and definitely will be returning!
