We started our step back in time when we met Dan at Mr. Tumnus’s park bench in Priory Park. (The one with the goats leg. Look carefully as there are some benches with none, and others with unique features “only” on one side.) From there we twisted and winded up and down the various paths of the Malvern hills that JRR Tolkien, C S Lewis and friends would very likely have walked back in their era. The scenic walk past massive trees with their exposed roots truly made us feel that these were the visual inspiration for parts throughout the Lord of the Rings. Dan also spoke of Charles Darwin and other famous people that lived or visited Malvern over the decades. Dan was very knowledgeable and accommodating. It was a beautiful afternoon spent walking the hills and through the town accompanied by Dan’s narrative. We would highly recommend it.

We had a great walk round Malvern with Dan. He is very knowledgeable and had so many stories to tall about, CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien, Charles Darwin & Edward Elgar. There are so many beautiful buildings in Malvern many with stories to tell. We walked up into the Malvern Hills, discovered the natural springs, amazing views and eventually ended our walk at the Priory. We would thoroughly recommend this walk. Thank you Dan.

I had a fantastic experience visiting Malvern Hills through Airbnb.
