Where do I begin? With the soft comfy bed or the tasteful attractive arts and crafts found everywhere in the house? Or the powerful new shower or the antique deep cast iron bathtub with plenty of hot water? They've done a nice job of renovating a very old apartment. The location makes you feel more like a local than a tourist. There are excellent pubs and eating places in the neighborhood and even an adequate little neighborhood market. Staying at Zoe's is like staying at a friend's apartment while they are gone. If you choose to stay, take advantage of all the hard work they've put in to the guest manual with bus routes, maps and great recommendations for food and activities. They have amply stocked the place with toiletries and food so you really lack nothing when staying here. They even have books and games if you're so inclined. There are two bedrooms with large comfortable beds but only one toilet, one shower and one barhtub. The shower is a renovated closet. Great views are to be had wherever you are in the house. One of my favorite things was being able to open the bedroom window and have it still be extremely quiet all night long, until the birds sang in the morning! The best thing about Edinburgh are the people and Zoe and Steven are top notch and representative of the genuinely kind and friendly people.
