“If you’re in the Glenside area, this is a GREAT place to stay. The location is fantastic and the space is exceptional. It is a true apartment. I came with a colleague from work and we had a lot of space with a large kitchen and den/family room. The kitchen has full size appliances if you want to cook and eat in. Everything was very clean. There is a spacious back yard if you come with kids who want to play outside. Brendan is a very friendly and communicative host. He greeted us with a smile and we had a great conversation. He lives with his family upstairs, but we couldn’t hear them. I also like that he’s low key. It was a very professional and yet informal experience. We will definitely be back again.”
Great location, there is bus station behind the house, easy parking. Also just 10 minute away from Center City with car, near the city line and 76.Also there are many businesses around apartment!
“This is a bit bare-bones in some ways but for the money its a great value! The host was really good about texting me back and forth when I came in and left. (We met for about 10 seconds, but I have no problem with that). The room is in a 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor of a three story building; the amount of stuff in the apartment suggests that the other resident is a permanent tenant. Even though we did not interact for more than 30 seconds he seemed nice enough. You may be asking yourself: if its so nice why is it so inexpensive? 1. It is kind of a bare bones space; the only furnishings were a bed, a small table and a chair. 2. The neighborhood is not as well-known to outsiders as other middle-class NW Philly areas like Chestnut Hill and Manayunk; it is in Wynnefield Heights, which is not a train line and is about 4 miles from Center City. Having said that, the area has very good bus service from the 38 and 40 bus routes. The apartment is only 2 blocks from the bus stop. Wynnefield Heights is not one of the city's well-known yuppified areas, but it seems to be a respectable middle-class area. I think former Mayor Nutter lived there.”
Newly renovated, sunny studio in a beautiful residential neighborhood. Make breakfast using brand new appliances and enjoy it on a private deck. A 5 minute drive to Philadelphia or a 20 ride on SEPTA from Melrose Rose Station to Center City. Free parking. A/C.
“Such a great place! Private, with everything you would need! Close to a lot of restaurants and not too far from the city! Host was great with communication! Very accommodating!”
