Holiday rentals in Achill Island

The whole family fell completely in love with John's house, nestled in the heart of the Connemara mountains, very well equipped and cozy, with splendid views. But above all, it was the welcome, kindness, generosity of our host that took our breath away. Thank you for everything John! Thanks to you we had our first dream stay in Ireland.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at James house - it was clean, comfortable and very cosy! The beds were very comfortable and kitchen perfect for cooking and living in. There was a fire on in the stove when we arrived and made the house so welcoming and cosy. It is in beautiful surroundings with lots of walks and Westport only 15 mins away and plenty of restaurants etc in Murrisk only 5 mins away - great base for exploring Mayo and climbing croagh Patrick and as a family of 5 and 2 dogs it was just perfect! We also went in the free Killary harbour cruise that was offered and it was fantastic - highly recommend! James was very friendly and on hand if needed - we would definitely visit again!

Our group of 6 adults enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space and the kitchen was much appreciated, had everything we needed. Quiet and secluded.

Great location to village and surrounding amenities, great hoast,friendly and very helpful, accommodation was excellent with a nice touch of free scones on arrival. Would highly recommend 👌

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Raven Hill. The house is situated with gorgeous views all around and the house itself is nicely appointed, comfortable, and worked well for our group of four with plenty of room to spread out. We braved the local L roads and found other drivers to be courteous and friendly making daily outings doable. The local waterfall was an easy walk (enjoyed it so much went 2X) local church ruins for great photos, and a trip to Kylemore Abbey was so worth the drive through the idyllic countryside. The local (small & quaint) shop at TJ O’Toole’s was surprisingly well stocked. And the weather could not have been better. Certainly a holiday to remember!

Just arrived home after a fabulous 3 night stay in Tom's house. It was so cozy and warm and such a wonderful welcome with easter bunnies left for the kids along with a welcome pack of bread, milk, treats, wine. The house is perfect for a family getaway and is spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and a cot provided for our littlest. We will definitely be back. Tom was very responsive to all messages and had the heating turned on for our arrival. The county surroundings are a lovely setting for a peaceful stay. We are looking forward to returning.

Our family of four and one Cavapoo stayed at Lisa’s place for 2 nights. We had a great stay in a relaxing setting. Lisa was incredibly responsive and helpful. The house was lovely and clean, and really did feel like a home from home from the off. The location was nice and private and a short distance from Ballina town and the beaches at Killala or Enniscrone. I would highly recommend this house if you are looking to stay close to Ballina.

We loved our stay here. The photos don’t do justice to the location which overlooks a little sandy inlet to the front and cliffs to the side. It’s private and quiet and the house had everything we needed and more! Very responsive hosts (thank you Anne) and lovely little touches like fresh milk and treats, throw blankets and lots of information on the locality. Kitchen was the best stocked kitchen of any self catering accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts have thought of everything. Beds were comfy and the house was cosy and warm. Thank you for a lovely stay.
