Holiday rentals with a kayak in Akershus

A huge thank you to Mette for this little cocoon nestled a stone's throw from the sea! My friend and I spent three amazing days in this enchanting place. This haven of peace, ideal for relaxing and regaining serenity, allowed us to fully enjoy our stay between walks and moments of relaxation. The bedding is amazing, and the cabin has everything you need, with impeccable cleanliness. The location is perfect, with the beach and beautiful hiking trails nearby. This is the perfect place for a real break. I highly recommend it!

Christian was a great host, he was acommodating and was easily reached. The place is amazing, was as advertised and easy to find. It's located a bit far from the city (15mins away via tolls), but exactly what we want, peaceful from the hustle and bustle of Oslo. The place feels homey, the christmas vibes add to the whole holiday vibes. One small nitpicky detail is that, as mentioned by Christian, this is usually where they stay at, so as mentioned there is a bit of a clutter here and there. Noticed some unclean dishes and airfryer, but otherwise the place is great. Felt like home. Overall it's a 4.7/5 for me and my family, we had an amazing time in Oslo and a contributing factor was Christian's place! ♥️

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here. From the attentiveness of the hosts, and the condition of their beautiful home and everything in between it was an absolute stress free stay. I can’t thank ours hosts Erik and Anita enough for opening their beautiful home to my family and me. Would stay here again without question. Five stars all around from top to bottom!

Jon was a fantastic host, who was always available for questions. He was very friendly and took fantastic care of us. The accommodation was in a great location, so we could enjoy the tranquility on the river. The facilities in the house left nothing to be desired. On the first day, Jon even brought us eggs, which we could then enjoy for breakfast every day. Jon also offered us the use of the canoes or fishing. All in all, the accommodation and Jon are fully recommended as a host. We would definitely come back !

Oddbjørn’s house is incredible. With a beautiful location right on the water and tons of space in the house it feels like a vacation the moment you step inside or out onto the deck. There are so many amenities, the kitchen is huge, the sauna is a fantastic addition. This space is perfect for large groups or a family looking to get away for the weekend. With kayaks, canoes, and a rowboat you can explore a serene lake and really enjoy the surroundings. Enjoy a great week in Norway at this spectacular house!!

We had a lovely long weekend in the cabin, it was a perfect relaxing getaway and a great distance for Olso by car. Tomas was a great host, always helpful if we needed help getting there or anything within the cabin.

The home was as the host described, with quiet surroundings with nice hiking opportunities and lovely animals in the courtyard. Host was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to messages sent. We can safely recommend others to rent here.

Nina is a very lovely host. She responds immediately and helped us with finding activities and things to do in the area. She also invited us over for some mulled wine and prepared a bonfire for us. The view from the house is amazing, the interior is cosy, perfect for a cosy getaway

Absolutely perfect and beautiful. Fabulous location near a small lake. Lovely and quiet with stunning views. So easy to get too from Oslo airport even in the snow! Warm, cosy and had everything we needed. Such stunning. I can’t recommend this place enough Host was always responsive and even got shopping in for as arriving over new year. A wonderful family holiday we look forward to coming back

A true gem and a fantastic host! The house right at the lakeshore is unique and offers everything you could think of. We felt right at home and had great fun with the boats, swimming and fishing, cooking and enjoying the view. Perfect for a relaxed family summer holiday. Caroline was extremely friendly and stayed cool even when I had a little mishap with the key. Thank you for everything!

I stayed at Sidsel's cabin for 2 nights with my family including a little child and dog. After being guided to the cabin by Sidsel -as the cabin is not directly reachable by car- and being showed around, we had an excellent stay. Despite having some rainy days, the location gives you diverse possibilities to do as hiking, swimming, canoeing or -if the weather doesn't make you want to go outside- just staying around the chimney with a view on the lake. I can highly recommend staying at Sidsels place. Also the communication with her is very easy and friendly. Looking forward to stay there again :)

A very well situated cabin, immediately on the lake shore. The cabin is pleasantly decorated and furnished. Oystein replied very quickly to questions which arose once arrived at the cabin. Also the supermarket in Grua is large enough to stock almost everything we needed.

Such a beautiful place (but pay attention to the other reviews that mention the steps)! We felt completely at home, and very much enjoyed our time there. Tormod was so quick to respond to any question we had, including when we changed our departure date. We’d stay there again!

We had a great time at the cabin. It had a very well equipped kitchen and a very spacious and cozy living room. We would love to come back another time!

We were a large family group gathering for our first time in Oslo. The island location is gorgeous and the house is both beautiful and well suited to a family group. Catherine was proactive in getting our groceries delivered so we were comfortable despite no stores on the island. We also had free use of their boat which allowed us to arrange our schedule as we liked. Pacing with our large family group meant accounting for two shuttle trips to get all of us across to the mainland. The 31 bus line was close and frequent for getting us into Oslo. We bought a week pass but no one ever seemed to check the bus ticket. The house itself was well equipped with everything kitchen, fireplace and gorgeous outdoor space. It was a little cool and rainy for the pool but the hanging outdoor bed was a favorite spot to hang out.
