What was good The manager showed me the facilities when I checked in. The check-out time was 12 o'clock, so we had a relaxing time. The facilities are spacious, and there is a sense of security that feels like returning to your parents' house. There is a supermarket nearby. What I was interested in Overall, I think it was a little dusty. It may not be possible for the age of the building. (It's a level of personal concern.)

We had a wonderful time at Naoki’s home at Appi kogen. It was a brightly lite home, well equipped and comfortable for our two night stay. Naoki was very responsive before and after our check in. He even helped up with suggestions for what to do in the area as well as further in our journey. We had an enjoyable stay and hope to return!

Tatsuya-san and Reiko-san were so welcoming and helpful, they provided gifts for us, personally guided us when we got lost on our way to find the place. The house was beautiful, well stocked kitchen, private onsen was gorgeous and as amazing as I had hoped. One of the highlights of our trip for sure. The address provided isn't exact on a GPS probably because of the mountainous area, it's best to follow Tatsuya-san's instructions instead. There are also multiple supermarkets on the drive there if you're going by car, which Tatsuya-san also provides guidance for.

This home is spectacular! We spent two nights in this beautiful house and felt right at home! Homma was very responsive and so kind to help us with the heating and a ride to the train station! We were able to walk to a variety of restaurants as well as the drug store which also has essential foods. We absolutely loved the view onto the ocean! Thank you, Homma!

It was the best space I can feel most confidently staying in the accommodation I've ever stayed in!Especially, breakfast was made of local ingredients, and I was able to get a really delicious breakfast that you can only taste in Nishiwaga Town while looking at the snowy scenery!The host and his wife were also very warm and perfectly supported everything we wanted to do, including a bonfire, a lot of climbing in Takada, pizza making, and it was an unforgettable memory! It is a place where you can feel the hometown of Japan that you will definitely want to return to once you visit. It is recommended for more than 2 nights at a slow time!

We had a wonderful stay! Even though we had originally told the host we’d be checking in later, we ended up arriving early—and she was kind enough to come meet us right away after we updated her. She greeted us warmly and gave us a thorough walkthrough of the entire property, explaining everything clearly. The location is absolutely beautiful, with stunning mountain views. We truly loved our stay and definitely plan to come back!

We enjoyed ourselves with all the Oriyamake had to offer. Hideyuki-San was a very gracious host and creatively curated the entire experience for us. It was very enriching, having fun and learning about Matagi culture.

The space created by the younger two people seemed to have returned to my grandmother's house in the countryside, and it was comfortable to roll in front of the wood stove and feel comfortable. It was also very interesting to talk about the host's past career and Matagi, and I was able to think about the culture and the way I was. Snowshoeing in the back mountain was also fun, and in the spring, it seemed like you could enjoy picking wild vegetables, hiking in the mountains, and playing in the river in the summer, so I wanted to visit again in various seasons. I can't wait to come back if I think I'll be upgrading it from now on.

Highly recommended! This is a Gem and best airbnb I stayed at. A big traditional house with a Japanese garden and in a very reasonable price you get a very private room and a balcony facing the garden- Great value! The room is big with a garden view balcony, kettle ( high quality tea and coffee) and drinking water. The hosts Mr and Mrs Teisuke are beautiful people- very kind and hospitable. they communicate in english and always ready to help. They shared the house history and are interesting to chat with. Needless to say that the house and shared area as bathroom and kitchen were extremely clean and fresh. The location is 12-13 min flat walk from the train station with a Shinkansen line that takes to Tokyo and a 40 min ride to Kakunodate samurai edo town , the lake and other places worth visiting in the area. I would love to stay here again in the future. Akita city was a surprise for me - lots of art, vegan food, nice architecture and street food( vegan too). Thank you!

I enjoyed it very much! It felt like I was back at my grandmother's house, and I missed the futons and blankets, so I relaxed. They greeted us and saw us off, and they were kind and accommodating. I went by motorbike, but they also gave me directions and recommended spots, and it was a good stay. Thank you so much!
