Our refuge consists of 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 bathroom and 1 living room equipped with a small kitchen and an outdoor barbecue. In the parish, there is a pharmacy, supermarkets, a gas station and a restaurant that belongs to the owner of the bungalow where you can have lunch at an affordable price. 5 min. from the river and the chapel of S. João with pool and barbecue grill, benches and tables. 20 minutes away, you can enjoy the beach of Esposende and Cabedelo, 20 minutes from Barcelos and 40 minutes from Porto

Meirinha House

Gather the family at this peaceful place to stay. The house is located in a quiet area next to nature, the sea and river. It was designed in detail for those who need to recharge their batteries. The accommodation is equipped with everything you need to fully enjoy your day-to-day life. In the leisure area, there is an indoor pool with heated water, sun loungers, umbrellas and a barbecue area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby, there are several restaurants and a wonderful city to explore.

The coldest days invite to a evening by the fireplace where you can get cosy and watch the fire dance as the wood burns. It is a quiet place with a good neighborhood. The historic center of Viana do Castelo is a 10 minutes drive as well as several beaches such as Cabedelo beach, where you can practice various water sports such as surfing, windsurfing or paddle. Five minutes from supermarkets.

The Wind Mill

Beautifully located in hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean sits the Marinhas windmill. The windmill dates from the year 1758 and was built in the traditional northern Portuguese style with circular walls, two floors, an entrance on the grown floor and two windows on the upper floor. It is classified as a municipal heritage building. The mill is 130 meters above sea level thus providing a breathtaking view over the towns and ocean and a unique retreat for the more adventurous guest.

My place is wonderful for families looking for peace and quiet. A few minutes from Viana do Castelo, Barcelos, Esposende or the oldest and most ancient Vila de Portugal, (Ponte de Lima), this space is also very good for families (with kids). Surrounded by green fields and woods with streams, the Atlantic Ocean is also about 10 minutes away, with fabulous beaches between Esposende, Viana do Castelo or Moledo. The Gerês mountain range is about 40 minutes away. Spain is 35 km away.

This is a unique space, with stunning views of the waterfall and surrounding nature. Ideal for a weekend of adventure! Come prepared for poor cellular network and slow Wi-Fi, as the location is isolated. On the other hand, the sound of nature takes on a fantastic dimension, with the river water and birds surrounding us completely. Access is made (in the last 500 meters) by land and it is necessary to pay attention to the directions we provide so that you do not get lost.
