This is a private rental accommodation in a renovated 45-year-old wooden house located in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. We are renovating it to make it comfortable for modern people to use, while maintaining the good points of an old house. It features a space where old and new materials coexist and you can feel the natural environment, including the garden. Even large groups can use it comfortably. We hope you can relax and use it as a base for sightseeing in Hokuriku and climbing the Northern Alps. There is a monitor, so it is also recommended for workations. We also have a range of appliances, cooking utensils, and seasonings. This is not a tourist destination.Surrounded by fields and mountains, you wake up in the morning to the sound of birds, and it is surprisingly quiet at night.The kitchen is lined with tools for a lifestyle that includes fermentation, such as miso and pickles, which have been passed down in this region.The greatest feast in this house is the 'ordinary life' where nothing special happens. We used furniture inherited from local homes and flooring materials from a demolished temple.This is a space where time remains in this land, with its scars and tree rings intact. This accommodation is standardly room-only. We also offer experiences such as bonfire, plant dyeing, and local home cooking upon request (reservation required).Your guides are local people who have lived here for a long time. The bath, made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) When you step into the bathroom your whole body is enveloped in the scent of the wood. The house is also very close to the ocean.
