“Great room and value. Host were very helpful with recommendations. The location was amazing and offered my options to see the old architecture and grab some delicious food. I even snuck in a hike up the sacred mount before it got dark on my 1 night layover. Location to train station is very convenient as well.”
“Absolutely stunning place! The area is very quiet (as you'd expect) and the house itself is the best kind of mix between traditional and comfort. Paolo clearly put his heart into renovating the 13th century building and it shows; the woodworking feels true to the old style. We loved every bit of our stay, from the warm welcome Paolo gave us, to the very hot wood-powered shower, to the exploring of the history-filled area, to the lazy swinging in the hammocks in the winter sun. 11/10!”
Casa Quaroni is a historic residence in the Ossola Valley, the town of Anzino, rich in history and charm. With its wooden balconies, the rooms that retain the historical characteristics, the proximity to places of historical and artistic interest, the ski slopes and great hiking itineraries, it is the ideal residence for your holidays in the mountains. Built in 1614, and then enlarged and renovated during the 18th century, it has its name linked to the Quaroni family, who later emigrated to Rome.
“Our stay in bannio anzino was amazing and has been a highlight of our time so far. The location is fairly remote, up a windy mountain road with a very quiet, serene feel. The B&B itself is smaller than I thought from the pictures - it's basically one floor in the building with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom running the length of the hallway. I am not sure if there are other rooms there or not but we were the only guests at the time. It is difficult to find so you will need to call when you get there for someone to lead you to the building. Overall the B&B was spotlessly clean, comfortable and despite the language barrier, Matteo and his mother were warm and welcoming. This is such a wonderful place to stay - do not hesitate to book!”
