Visit either of our beautiful Victorian apartments, both 'The Nevis' and 'The Lomond' are located in the heart of Milngavie, 50 metres from the start of the epic West Highland Way. 'The Lomond' and 'The Nevis' apartments sit side by side with each other, they operate independently with four guests in each, but if you wanted to have eight guests staying over the two apartments this is also available on request. If you ever find 'The Lomond' is full on the dates you require please check 'The Nevis' for availability. Enjoy your stay in one of Scotland’s best towns. Make the most of the beautiful local walks, use it as a gateway to the City of Glasgow or as a starting point for the Highlands. Whatever you decide, you'll be warm and comfortable in West Highland Apartment. Book your stay today. 'The Lomond' has been thoroughly modernised, while retaining a number of the original features. The interior decor beautifully harmonises the contemporary and traditional, and maximises the historical detail throughout. This apartment is a comfortable, functional, yet truly luxurious place to stay. The Lomond is situated on the first floor. You will be welcomed by a traditional Scottish 'Close' gaining access to the front door from two flights of stairs, around 20 in total. The apartment has been refurbished with the traveller in mind, but also being careful to retain some of the original Victorian features. The apartment has a brand new kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and breakfast bar. There is also a dining table in the bay window for four people to enjoy a home cooked meal. If cooking at home isn't your thing, there are several restaurants within 100 metres for you to enjoy stunning Scottish food, or just a drink. Garvies restaurant is 15 metres from the apartment front door and currently offer any guests at West Highland Apartment 20% off their food bill. The apartment has two double bedrooms offering a pair of single beds in each (as a special request either bedroom can be made into doubles). The larger master bedroom has European size single beds for the taller person and comes with an en suite bathroom. Bedroom two has two standard single beds and use of the main bathroom. Both bedrooms have mirrored wardrobe space and a vanity unit including a hair dryer. The main living room of the property offers a large 3 seat leather sofa and two leather chairs for the weary (or not so weary) traveller to relax. There is a 55" 4K TV with Virgin Fiber WIFI if you fancy a movie night. Access to the kitchen is done via the living room, offering that modern touch in a traditional property. West Highland Apartments use the key drop box system with a unique code issued at the time of your booking, but be assured we will always be on the phone for any help or support you may need. Milngavie Town Centre currently boasts twelve places to eat and enjoy a coffee: Costa, Cafe Alba, F Pizza, Andiamo, Finsbay, Garvies to name a few. It has over 120 businesses operating from the centre and its popularity is growing year on year. Milngavie is most recognised for being the start of the West Highland Way, but other walks, including the Clyde Costal Path, also meet in Milngavie. Throughout the year many events take place in the town including the Highland Games, Cycling Events, Car Events, Milngavie Folk Club, so you will have plenty to choose from on your visit. We have 2 listings at the rear of our cottage (Willow & Holly) each having their own entrance & en-suite shower room. There's a Freesat TV, mini fridge,kettle,toaster,crockery & cutlery. We provide coffee, tea, sugar & milk pots & a porridge pot & cereal bar. We are walking distance to Tarbet pier,Kirk O The Lochs,Tarbet hotel & bus stop & train station. I like to give guests privacy & it’s self check in. PLEASE NOTE This is a small bedroom & small ensuite with NO cooking facilities or lounge.
