Uppa Close is accessible by public transport, but it is better to have a car, as restaurants and attractions are a short distance away. It's perfect for two people, but can accommodate another two on a sofa bed in the living room. It is a ten minute drive from Loch Lomond, twenty minute drive from Glasgow Airport, and a forty minute drive from Glasgow city centre.
“Elizabeth is very responsive and accommodating. Her flat is a step back to groovier times with great touches like retro decor and appliances. We had no problems with anything, and our stay was very comfortable. Thanks Elizabeth!”
Arrochar Alps Apartment is the perfect place to absorb and enjoy the local nature, relax and enjoy the walks round about the many hills and lochs right on the doorstep. Practical things like the local bus stops, store, pubs, cafes, post office, restaurants and local filling station, are all in easy walking distance. Also there are many places of natural beauty and interest to visit by car or public transport including Loch Lomond, Glencoe and Inveraray castle.
“This is a great place right on the side of Loch Long with panoramic views of the Loch and the Cobbler. The place has within walking distance a shop, pub (good food at a fair price), chippy and a petrol station so handy for those things you need or forget. We spent 4 nights there did a nice walk up the cobler, drove to Inveraray and had a dip in Loch Lomond at Luss. Would definitely recommend, it’s well equipped, very clean and great amenity access and the good landing spot to break up our journey on to Loch Duiche.”
Enjoy the spectacular scenery from our newly refurbished luxury cottage, Tigh-na-Gare, is located on the banks of Loch Long, within the historic village of Arrochar, and near loch Lomond. This luxurious retreat offers stylish accommodation for holidays or short breaks for up to 6 people.
“We couldn’t get over the stunning views! It was simply breathtaking. A perfect base for easy walks around the loch and a hill trail directly across from the cottage. Also easily accessible to the more strenuous Cobbler hike with incredible views. We also enjoyed just sitting on the deck with a tea, taking in the scenery. Next door to a tea room with delicious baked goods. The cottage was very clean and had every thing we needed during our stay (including some special little treats). We could not have asked for a better first stay of our Scottish adventure!”
