Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Opened in July, 2024. "La Fotografia Marrone" is a 9-minute walk from "Kanazawa Station" and a 6-minute walk from "Omicho Market", where there is a bus to Kanazawa's major tourist attractions. The building faces a quiet street lined with Kanazawa Machiya, and you can see a large temple in Kanazawa, Higashibetsuin. The building is made up of a traditional exterior and floor plan. In addition, in the theme of this inn, "photography", there is a photo exhibition by Japanese photographer "Kojima Yasutaka IG @ yasutakakojima".In addition, you can spend time relaxing indoors while listening to the 'music' selected by Mr. Kojima to accompany the photographs. We have facilities such as a washing machine so that guests can have a relaxing stay, close to Omicho Market, where you can cook and stay for the medium to long term. This area is called Shimawara, one of the six former flower districts, and is the oldest of them, so you can see old traditional Japanese-style architecture within walking distance. [Tabitabi Shinsen] is a traditional two-storey machiya , which was built in the Taisho era with more than one hundred years history.
