The place is breathtaking! You can spend few hours just looking at all design elements and historic items.. The amount of work, talent and love put in this home is incredible. The yard and garden looks hipster and fun. We loved the place and will be definitely back!

We were very pleased with our stay at Karlis’ house, which features a charming garden, a cozy terrace, and comfortable upstairs bedrooms. We stayed for three days with our dog, who was warmly welcomed. The nearby forest, with its many scenic trails, was perfect for walks. The peaceful, nature-filled area just outside Riga was ideal for relaxing. The house’s rustic feel, especially on the lower floor, added to its charm. The front door was an unforgettable, authentic detail—it felt like stepping into a Grimm’s fairy tale. The house has been modernized with care, preserving its unique "cigar box" character, especially at the lower floor. Karlis' house is truly a gem, and it was a delight to learn about the artist who once lived there and see his remarkable sculptures still on display.

Our stay at this apartment in Jūrmala was absolutely wonderful. The space is clean, cozy, and beautifully modern, offering everything you need for a comfortable getaway. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the sea and near a peaceful park, making it perfect for nature lovers. The area is calm and private, providing a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy Jūrmala’s charm in a serene and convenient setting.

Hosts left us an anniversary gift. ❤️ Perfect location for walking. Restaurants and cinema nearby. Overall a great experience. However, there's no good grocery shops nearby. The loft's stairs are very steep and the loft's ceiling is around 1,4m high. Maybe that's just us but we expected to have a higher ceiling. Don't forget slippers!

Very nice place. You can relax and unwind. From the garden of the complex you are directly on the sandy beach. Jogging and hiking is perfectly possible. At the house on the left are 2 "guard dogs", a husky and a shiba inu. Both are very happy to be petted through the fence to the sea. The time at Dune Castle is very valuable and highly recommended. The owner is incredibly helpful and accommodating. A real pearl in Latvia. As a little tip, you should go to John's chef hall for dinner. Michelin has been in Latvia since 2024. Johns Hall has 1 star, and the 13 course menu is a dream. Be careful, you will eat pine cones. Enjoy this wonderful castle .

This was our third time staying here, and it truly feels like a home away from home. The space is warm, comfortable, and perfect for our family. Everything is always spotless and thoughtfully prepared — we can't imagine staying anywhere else when we're in town. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay with our small family travelling from Australia to see our Latvian family, Dmitrys place was perfect and we were blown away with how much detail and thought had gone into having everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for us - beautiful park with kids activity nearby and a short walk to the beach and shops - Jomas iela. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Dmitry.

This is a great place to stay in Jurmala! The railway station is a few minutes away on foot, the sea and the beach are about 10-15 minutes away. Right behind the fence starts a beautiful forest, where you could walk and pick very tasty blueberries. The apartment itself is divided into 3 rooms - a bedroom, a living room with a sofa and a kitchen with another sofa. There is an absolutely stunning balcony with dining table and sofa. There is a gas cooker on the balcony and it was a real pleasure to cook breakfast there in the morning. Many thanks to the owner for his hospitality, it was a pleasure to talk to him about various things.
