The Croft Snug

Escape off grid to this secluded self contained large studio room deep in the countryside in Galloway . The accommodation is an annex of our own home and has its own private entrance and en-suite bathroom complete with shower and bath, in a studio format. We are situated on a small holding far from the maddening crowds and under the Galloway dark sky where on a clear night you can see the milky way and an array of stars . We welcome well behaved dogs however they should not be left alone .

You can expect awesome starry skies, and if you're lucky, maybe even the Aurora. Glentrool is all about the outdoors, with plenty of biking, wild swimming and walking nearby. We are right in the heart of the stunning Galloway Forest and part of the UNESCO designated Biosphere, with trees, streams, lochs and mountains right on the doorstep.

The romance, splendour and variety of landscapes to be found in Galloway lies at the door of The Old Servants’ Hall. For couples or individual explorers (and dog), this beautifully restored, cosy apartment is an ideal retreat for escaping the rat race. 2 Calgow Cottage is a fully refurbished semi-detached cottage in the heart of Galloway, within walking distance of Newton Stewart, described as the 'Gateway to the Galloway Hills'. Our large garden backs on to the mature woodlands of Kirroughtree Forest, famous for its recreational offering including bike shop and cafe, walking trails, and home to one of the 'seven stanes' mountain biking sites. Closeby are miles of coastline, hills, and spectacular scenery, ideal for that perfect getaway.

The Granary, Little Tahall Farm

The Granary is situated on our small working farm with stunning views over Wigtown Bay. Sleeps 2/4 with twin or double bedroom downstairs, single/double bed can be provided in lounge. Small child friendly, travel cot, high chair etc available. Short drive to beaches, Galloway Forest, hills and coast. Five minutes from Wigtown, handy for the Book Festival. Great for bikers, cyclists, walkers, bird watching or relaxing. One well behaved dog welcome, please advise us before arrival.

This 1978 Airstream is fully re-built by your hosts in a private 1/2 acre glade with a stream running through, wood-fired hot tub, outdoor chill zones: tiki bar, fire pit with hammocks and covered deck. All exclusive use. This one-of-a-kind Airstream conversion is bright, quirky & cozy with wood stove, king bed, sofa bed, plumbed wetroom, full kitchen + even doorbell! Retro made perfect.

Oak Tree Hut

Unfortunately no dogs/children/infants are allowed. Oak Tree Hut is situated on our working sheep farm in Dumfries and Galloway. The views from the hut looks over St John’s Town of Dalry and up onto the Rhinns of Kells. Lie in bed watching the sunrise and sit on the verandah or soak in the outside bath while watching the sunset. Watch the bird life and livestock peacefully fly and amble by. The hut has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
