Townhome holiday rentals in Basel-Stadt

Isabelle and her mother were warm, welcoming hosts, and I had a good stay overall. The property is in a fantastic location near Old Town, with quick direct links both to the airport and Messeplatz. I appreciated getting an extra pillow when I asked for one, and being able to leave my luggage for a few hours after checkout. When picking it up, I was even offered a coffee 'for the road'. I will just mention two things. First, lthough a kitchen is listed as an amenity, I sensed a bit of reluctance around fridge use for example, which discouraged me from doing any simple cooking such as making eggs. Second, the street itself is quiet and the room overlooks a peaceful garden, but it's an older house with squeaky stairs/floorboards and rather thin walls. As there are several rooms being rented out, you tend to wake up with whomever goes to the bathroom first in the morning. So if you're noise-sensitive, you may want to consider that. Though overall, again, it was a nice experience.

J'ai passé un excellent week-end chez Sabine et François, qui m'ont accueillie avec chaleur et ont pris le temps de discuter et de me donner de précieux conseils sur la ville. Le logement était parfaitement propre, confortable et bien équipé (j'ai apprécié la bouilloire et le mini frigo), à deux pas (littéralement) d'un arrêt de bus et très proche également du tram, ce qui rend les déplacements vraiment aisés (bien qu'on puisse aussi se déplacer à pied). J'ai pu disposer de la chambre jusqu'à mon départ en début de soirée, ce qui était vraiment pratique. C'était un plaisir de dormir ici et j'espère pouvoir revenir !

Amita est très accueillante et à l'écoute. C'était mon 2e séjour chez elle et reviendrai sans hésitation... Encore un grand merci à elle!

Wir sind nur zwei Nächte geblieben, diese waren sehr schön! Wir haben uns direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt und hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Amita ist sehr freundlich und wir waren gern bei ihr. Das Haus und das Zimmer sind wirklich sehr schön und gemütlich.

Amita was such a gracious host. We were able to celebrate Christmas at her place with our other family members who were staying nearby. Her beautiful home was in a peaceful yet easily accessible location.

Es war von Anfang an alles sehr unkompliziert und flexibel. Erich ist hilfsbereit und geradeaus im Umgang. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt und werde die Unterkunft sicherlich noch ein weiteres Mal buchen, wenn ich wieder in der Gegend bin.

I was in Basel for a business trip and Paul has been very convenient & flexible with me. I arrived late but he welcomed me very friendly and let me do a meeting on his terrace the next Morning before leaving. Thanks Paul !

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in dieser tollen Fewo und haben uns wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders gefreut hat uns, dass unsere Gastgeber Anregungen vom ersten Besuch aufgenommen und in die Tat umgesetzt haben. Wenn mal ein kleines Problem auftauchte, war Cyrill gleich zur Stelle, um Abhilfe zu schaffen. Ganz vielen Dank dafür! Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus war wie beschrieben. Alles war vorhanden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall jederzeit gerne wieder. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr gut. Insgesamt die volle Punktzahl.

I had a great stay at Toms and Angelas place. They welcomed me in such a friendly way, I got some tea and something sweet to eat. I love the place, it’s like a Walhalla and as I was going to Joe Dispenza, this Airbnb was the best place to stay, high vibing energy! You can easily walk to the center or take the tram, but I preferred to walk. Also if you’re going to Joe Dispenza, you can walk to the place easily and avoid waiting for the crowded trams at the end :)

Katharina was very responsive, polite and flexible. Her home was clean and easily accessible by public transportation. I would definitely recommend staying there 🙂
