The Cottage Workshop

Relax at this unique and tranquil getaway. Ideal for two people, this cosy little cottage annexe is near to Cockermouth and is in the Lake District National Park surrounded by views of the Western Fells and views to the Galloway hills of Scotland. 14 miles to the beautiful Lakeland town of Keswick and in close proximity to the Western Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere, Ennerdale Water, Crummock Water and Loweswater. A beautiful beach on the Solway Coast is only 12 miles away.

The Barn, Mosser - For 2 adults and 1 child.

The Barn is a beautifully refurbished retreat in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park. Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. It has a small garden, unique open living space incorporating the kitchen and lounge, lobby, shower room and large bedroom. The Barn is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

Garden Cottage is a lovely converted barn attached to Catlands Foot Farm tucked away on the hillside with views across to the Galloway Hills, Scotland. Just outside the Lake District National Park but within a 30 minute drive of Keswick you get the best of both worlds of exploring the attractions of the Northen Lake District and the Solway Coast with its quaint seaside towns. A converted former farmstead byre, Randel features high beamed ceilings open to the eaves, with plenty of natural light from two gable windows, a roof Velux and window out on to the wooded garden. Entrance is directly into the studio accommodation, consisting of a well fitted kitchen, dining facilities for two, and a comfortable compact sitting/sleeping area. Armchairs give way across the room to a wrought iron double-bed. There is a separate shower room with WC and washbasin.

The perfect romantic retreat, Swallows Rest, is a converted 18th century hay barn. Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. The ground floor contains an open plan living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There is a utility room accessed via a low stone doorframe. Upstairs is a mezzanine floor with king size bed, balcony and luxurious shower room

Our cedarwood lodge has been designed and built for our family and friends to use when they visit. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Converted Barn, Patterdale in the Lake District

Welcome to Crook a Beck Barn, Patterdale a former Cart Barn which we lovingly restored during 2017. The Barn is located on the original coach road in the hamlet of Crook a Beck, next to the village of Patterdale, in the heart of the Lake District, in one of the most beautiful Lake District valleys. During peak season - April to the end of October, 7 nights minimum stay with a Friday changeover. Short breaks may be available so please drop us a message to ask!

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.
