Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Big Stone County

Our little family of 3 and 2 dogs stayed here for several days. This cozy home looks exactly like the photos, but the view from the back porch was more stunning in person. Check in was seamless. The beds were clean and comfortable. The home smelled good and the central air and upstairs wall AC worked great. The home includes all the listed amenities. The coffee and tea bar were fully stocked, but we preferred daily visits to the coffee and pastry shop just a couple blocks South of the home. The pastries are excellent. The local grocery store, park and boat landing are also in close walking proximity. We enjoyed fishing and boating on Big Stone Lake so the private dock was perfect. We'd happily stay here again. Tip: do not lock the bottom door knob on the back porch or you'll get locked out. The host was responsive and the issue was resolved quickly. Also, you may want to bring house shoes because the original hardwood floors are dusty.

In spite of anything I've said here that may be seen as a negative, it was only meant as helpful feedback. The service and accommodations were great overall, a very good value and I would be happy to stay there again if the opportunity arises. One last item, the outlet that served the coffee pot stopped working our first day. We could not find a tripped breaker. It wasn't really a problem as we just moved the pot to a different location - actually, I think it's better where we put it being away from a busy part of the kitchen - but I just wanted to make sure you knew so it could be repaired. Thank you.

I was very impressed with the cabin. Way bigger and well organized than I thought. Perfect little weekend get away with plenty of accommodations to make a weekend enjoyable.

Great weekend stay at The Otters Den! It was so peaceful and quiet. The camper had everything we needed. The weather was beautiful for mid-October so we enjoyed a lot of time outdoors. The complimentary coffee and popcorn were perfect! John even left a bundle of complimentary wood, which was so nice. We will definitely be back for another weekend of rest and relaxation. A beautiful place, lots of birds and wildlife. A big house with lots of space and big rooms. Perfect for families and close to towns.

This was an older home full of charm and character. It was very clean and spacious, very clean, and was very well equipped. Location was excellent and communication with our hosts was outstanding. Would stay again.
