The shepherds hut faces south west and looks over wild flower meadows. Set in its own pretty cottage garden you can watch the birds feed from the feeders, nesting swallows,curlews calling and bats swooping in the evenings. A base for a host of outdoor activities with many beautiful walks and idyllic cycle routes on your door step.

Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.
