Holiday rentals with lake access in Buzzards Bay

Heather’s place is wonderful, we would like to stay there again in the future.

Spent a wonderful week during Christmas here with my adult son whom I hadn’t seen in years. Launa went above and beyond with making the home cozy and comfortable and the Christmas decor was more than I could have imagined. Launa allowed an early check in although I had an emergency which did not allow me to check in early but she offered me the option. Launa also allowed us a late check out which was very much appreciated. The only thing I wished was that the beds were a little less firm as I found them to be too firm but that’s just my preference. Very tranquil place and many memories were made. I would love to stay again perhaps during warmer months to enjoy the lake and outdoors but all in all it’s a beautiful home.

This place is a true gem! I came with my husband and kids (5 and 2.5). The house itself is clean and has plenty of places to chill together or alone. As described, it's more "rustic and eclectic getaway" than "luxury renovation," but that worked great for our style. My kids slept soundly in the downstairs bedroom (thanks for the dark curtains!) and my husband and I were comfortable upstairs. I recommend turning on the oscillating fan during the night. The lake itself is amazing. We swam off the dock, paddleboat-ed around and took the kayaks to the public beach. The public beach even has a toy share if you want to travel light! I'd recommend bringing water shoes (tevas, crocs, whatever) if you want to swim anywhere but the private beach as you'll find some plants and a few rocks. We brought lifejackets for our kids and used Karen's for ourselves. Every night we made dinner in the full kitchen, played some board games and watched a movie on the Apple TV. So great!

We absolutely loved our stay at the nest. The setting was perfect for a relaxing couple days for our family. Fishing, kayaking, hot tubing and walking. Jennifer was a great host ! Definitely recommend !!

This house was nice! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed. The location is great and peaceful as well. I loved sitting in the chairs on the dock and having a fire in the fire pit. Definitely recommend this house!

We loved Nathania's house! The views were beautiful! It was a great house to have local family over for a gathering (which was the purpose of our visit). We had some snow and ice during our stay, but Nathania and her husband were unexpectedly there, and ensured the snow and ice was dealt with the best they could. We definitely hope to rent again!

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew's place. It was a perfect little getaway where we could unwind & just enjoy the scenery. We came in town to visit our Son who is a Freshman at Nichols College. We had some cold weather & rain but, we took full advantage of the firepit & sat out by the water enjoying the view. There were lots of things to do on the water that we can hopefully do when we visit again in warmer weather. This place was a wonderful spot for us to unwind & spend time with our boy! Andrew & Lora were super responsive & helpful for all of our needs. They went above & beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. Highly recommend this gem by the water!

A group of 8 came for a long weekend to attend a family wedding. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. it served our needs well and appreciated that we could bring our dog. it is a beautiful spot on the lake. we enjoyed a camp fire one night and had fun with the pool table on a rainy night. Had a great time!

We had a fantastic trip! The host was responsive and made the whole process smooth and easy. The house was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. This was our 2nd stay at Andrea’s place. Very peaceful and convenient location for our visits to Connecticut. We come to visit family but the small river towns like Deep River offer much to do and excellent restaurants to boot. We highly recommend Andreas property!

My friend and I stayed at Clare’s Airbnb in Montauk over the weekend, and she was one the nicest and most attentive hosts we have stayed with. Our room was really nice and contained everything we needed to have a very comfortable time. We really appreciated Clare for her very friendly hospitality and for going above and beyond for us whenever we needed her for something. And she was so lovely to our dog, Chi Chi ☺️ We will def stay at her place again if we make another visit to Montauk! 🐶🐾💕

We had the best time in Arlington this past week! We came for the Boston marathon. The place was beautiful and the location was perfect. It was close to Boston but far enough out for the peace and quiet. Doug and Hope were the most exceptional hosts. They were accommodating and very responsive. They went above and beyond to make our stay and everything we needed as easy as possible. They were so great and we hope to come back in the future!!

A great stay in a great location. Apartment was very lovely and spacious and in a beautiful neighborhood. The heated mattress pad was amazing! Mikkie was very knowledgeable, kind, and generous. We took the subway to Boston one day and a beautiful walk around Mystic River and lakes and Sandy Beach. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it was clear from the moment we arrived that they had put a lot of thought into making the place comfortable and easy to enjoy. The cabin was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. One of the things we appreciated most was the detailed binder the owner provided—it included a map of the property, local tips, and great information about all the activities available right on site. It made exploring super easy and fun. We especially loved kayaking with our friends—it was such a peaceful and memorable part of the trip. Between the beautiful surroundings, the well-equipped cabin, and the thoughtful touches throughout, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a cozy, activity-filled, and well-cared-for place to stay!

Linlin was a wonderful host and we loved this adorable cottage. It was incredibly clean, while still being warm and welcoming for us (and our pup). It's a little farther from the water than we had anticipated, but it's a relatively short and private walk to a dock with kayaks and beautiful views. Highly recommend!

This was the ideal location for my husband and me to spend the holidays with our family who live across the lake. Will and John gave us a warm, friendly welcome and Quinn also checked in to make sure we settled in and had everything needed for a comfy cozy stay. It was easy to communicate with everyone and the location felt peaceful and private but not isolated. I can't imagine a more ideal experience and cannot thank Quinn enough for making this stay the best ever we've had with Airbnb!

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the location was beautiful. We stayed for a few days and celebrated our early family Christmas here. It ended up snowing, which made the surrounding Connecticut forest even more beautiful. We found the cabin cozy and peaceful, with the town just 10 minutes away for anything we’d need. I definitely plan to keep this listing in mind for next time I’m visiting family in Connecticut.

The cottage is a beautiful retreat on Cedar Lake, perfect for a little getaway! The place itself is cozy but with plenty of space for what we needed, and a gorgeous deck right on the water. Couldn’t get enough of the outdoor space! Quiet neighborhood and incredibly close to the restaurants and shops of Sturbridge. Amazing stay!
