Outside is a lovely garden with seating and fully enclosed so suitable for a dog . Take a break and unwind in the beautiful Welsh countryside only 10 minutes drive from the sea .

A lovely, traditional Welsh-stone terraced cottage, Maesyffynnon combines modern, boutique facilities with original 19th century features. The property is superbly located in the delightful town of Dolgellau, situated between the mountains and the sea. Dolgellau sits in the south of Snowdonia National Park, in the shadow of the Cader Idris mountain range but is also just 8 miles from the sea . Great for mountain bikers, walkers and hikers, but also for families wanting outdoor experiences.

The cottage is traditionally furnished with wooden floors and beams, log burners in the sitting room and kitchen. Outside to the front is a raised sitting area with wonderful views over the Dulas Valley. To the rear is a small yard and to the side a log and bike shed. This property is set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park and is perfect for a couple or small family to enjoy the peaceful village and beautiful walks near by. The property is a 1860s grade 2 listed build full of character and charm, enjoying stunning views looking up the valley. We have sympathetically restored the property with its sash window and flag stone flooring, however it still includes all the mod cons to ensure a delightfully chilled holiday.

We have updated the property to give it a fresh comfortable feel but have retained many original features. One of which is the splendid stone fireplace which now houses a log burning stove. The cottage is nestled within the old part of town, located on a quiet street and within a 2 min walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a small enclosed front patio area.

Our gorgeous dog friendly bed cottage (formally the village wash house) has been sympathetically restored (summer 2021) and is ready to welcome guests. With your private patio to sit out on and enjoy the views of the Dyfi Forest and all that the area has to offer it's an easy choice to make! Sorry but we only accept kids over the age of 12 at Ty Golchi.

It retains it's original oak beams but has a full width staircase for easy access between floors. It's placed within seconds of all town amenities.
