Cabin holiday rentals in Central Otago

Beautiful cabin in a lovely private pine forest near the vineyard. The house had everything provided - cutlery, towels etc. hot tub felt amazing after mountain hikes. Sean was very welcoming and helpful - he lives on a property which was very handy as he could hear up the hot up for us just before our arrival and helped us with bits and pieces. Would recommend this place as it felt nice to be away from suburbia.

We were a group of five (3 adults, two young children) and really enjoyed our stay at this fairytale house. It was very clean and furnished with lots of charming accessories which make the place even more WOW. I personally loved the outdoor illumination at night, which added to the fairytale feeling. We also made use of the hot tub. The only thing to improve is the wifi speed and coverage throughout the house. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a very special stay.

Our group has stayed in a lot of AirBnbs and Mavora cabin was hands down the best experience we have ever had! The location of the cabin is incredibly beautiful, it is hard to not spend all of your time just sitting and staring at the view. The cabin itself is wonderfully appointed, clean and comfortable. And Anna and Rob are absolutely wonderful hosts! They took time to show us and our two year old around the farm, and to meet some animals and they were so unbelievably kind. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would love to stay again!

Best Airbnb either of us have ever stayed in, in our extensive travels. We are still in disbelief of this home. If you have the chance to stay, do it. We had hesitated to book because there’s so much to do along the South Island, but now we know that this home is worth making the special visit. We will not be forgetting the serenity and beauty of Fallow Ridge: the uninterrupted panoramic view of sheep-dotted mountainside, the warm bath overlooking the sunset, the beautiful fog rolling in and out around the house. We walked along the road and down to the river and never actually went back down into town in our two nights because the property was just too awesome to leave; we recommend you arrive with some groceries as we did, in case you feel the same! The thoughtful details from our hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We were glad to meet David out on a walk and we regret to have not met Sarah, who we wish to also sincerely thank for such a lovely stay!

The Rise was an experience all on its own! We felt immediately welcome and it was clear they spent time on making it memorable and personal.

they were very nice. even loaned me a chefs knife and some oil. let us pick some fruit from the trees. would recomend.

Stayed at The Huts, hut 6 specifically which had an AMAZING view of the lake and mountains. So beautiful it felt like it was a living picture frame. Having the tub to soak in underneath the milky way after a long day of hiking was just magic. Even with Tekapo springs within walking distance (which was great), it tends to get busy so it was perfect to also have the option of a quiet and relaxing soak all to ourselves. Great amenities and superb location. Just the right size for 2. Easy and friendly check in/out. Hope to be back soon!

Perfect stay for soemthing different! Such a nice getaway for a trip to Queenstown just out the city! Was very cosy! Loved it :)

A great spot to stay in Wānaka, located at the back of the property it was private and peaceful even with a number of airbnb’s on the property.

Christine's cute cottage was perfect for our two-night stay. Easy access to the village centre and a prime location to all the walking and biking valleys. The place had everything we needed. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights. Ideal place to stay for a couple of nights exploring Queenstown. Walkable into town on flat route. Hot tub was also a nice touch for the evenings.

Maybe a 20 minute drive to the small town of wanaka, quiet and cozy cabin, very kind hosts, highly recommend!

Sally, Dougall (and Maggie Murray 🐶) are so kind and amazing hosts. My partner and I had the best getaway in Tiny Town, cozying up by the fire and a bath under the stars! We felt right at home and honestly didn’t want to leave! Maggie gave the best cuddles and was the cherry on top of an already perfect stay.

I love this place. Peaceful and so clean. Ohhh! the bed! it's so comfy. Room is not cold either even it's in the farm. The toilet??? the best! Extra towels. Love it as she is thinking for the mother earth. ☺️ I love her idea. One more thing, the welcome sign, I felt that I was welcomed. Thanks for the best place!

Great base for a couple of days in Lake Hawea :) Exactly as described, clean, and walking distance to the lakeside and cafes.

I love my short stay at Judy's place, it was cosy space with everything I needed. It's a beautiful location too, with a lagoon just along the street and the beach close by. Judy was a great host, very friendly and quick to answer any questions. I had a lovely, restful time!

Raewyn’s place is the perfect spot for an Arrowtown getaway. It’s super comfortable and has everything you need, in the most peaceful and picturesque setting. Raewyn was friendly and considerate and we had a great time. Also a very comfortable cosy bed! Recommended!

Beautiful, cosy, clean cabin with great lake views! Very comfy bed, kitchen had everything you need, great shower, lovely patio. very friendly host who answered right away. A lovely little escape from the busy life. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything in the cabin is brand new and absolutely spotless. The location is both convenient and tucked away on a stunning forest road, offering the perfect balance of access and privacy. Janey is such a thoughtful and lovely host — incredibly attentive and welcoming. We would definitely love to come back!

I would highly recommend staying at Glosan’s place if you are travelling alone or as a 2, it is very cosy has everything you could possibly need. Glosan was very responsive and helpful!

We had a wonderful time at Dan's place in Glenorchy. It was small but stylish with everything needed for a restful stay. We are big fans of the town and everything was in easy walking distance. We hope to return one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in our little cabin in Wanaka. Location was great , just a few min drive outside the town. The cabin was lovely , warm and cosy. I would definitely recommend Scotty’s place to anyone visiting Wanaka.
