Holiday rentals in Chhukha

If you are in Thimphu, you just need to check yourself in to this amazing place. Its a one stop place for all your needs in Bhutan. The hospitality they offer will touch your souls to another level and the food here is to die for. All of this without digging a big hole in your pocket. Thanks PenRab for everything. What can I say about Kinlay’s place!!! Words cannot do justice to what the experience was. Simple traditional home-very traditional and exactly what was described. But the real deal was Kinlay and her family (Yonten, Kayto and the three dogs - Dema, Aktu, Choktu)- they made the stay brilliant - they made us feel so comfortable that it was like living with close friends - home made food, long chats till late by the fireside sipping Ara. You have set the benchmark in homestays for me and I doubt if anybody will ever better this. I saw one or two negative reviews about this place - I don’t know what they experienced but I would think it is a case of mismatched expectations - if you are expecting luxury, the sanitised professionalism of a hotel then this is not the place you should book. If you are looking for a simple comfortable homestay experiencing the local way of life-then look no further.

My frIends and I had visited this airbnb for a night and had an amazing time. The property was luxurious and Ritika was very systematic and responsive. She had provided us directions to the stay and all other information well before our arrival and also suggested a lot of activities to do in and around the property. She had dedicated staff that helped us around the property and were available 24x7. There is also a dedicated chef at the property who can prepare meals based on your needs. An excellent option if you want to experience living in the jungle and maybe even spot an elephant or leopard right from your balcony.

Nice and comfortable place to stay.

This is a very spacious, clean space to spend in Paro. The hosts are hospitable though we didn't have much time to talk with them due to our busy schedules. The rooms are comfortable and the heater is good to have as it was cold for us. The view is also very beautiful from the rooms. The dinner was a bit disappointing - we had ordered for soup, paneer and rotis which took more than 1 hour to prepare only to find that the soup was a packet soup and paneer and roti were just about ok. The breakfast was nice though a bit expensive for the quantity served. The hosts were gracious to accompany us to the annual festival and let us be a part of it with them as our driver was unable to find parking. They patiently explained the significance of the festival and that helped a lot. They also were generous to drive us back to the lodge. We wish we had more time there. We would recommend at least 3 days stay if you want to experience the place properly.
