Muji Hut IN Shirahama School Building

We used a Muji hut to create a glamping facility that serves as an off-grid disaster prevention base. The distributed grid will be equipped with solar panels, storage batteries, and a drainage circulation system, making it Japan's first power line-free facility using only renewable energy. The Shirahama school building is located on a hill and is not affected by wind, so it is still designated as an evacuation site. Taking advantage of such a location, we will create a Muji hut "distributed grid" that will be expanded this time, and operate it as an accommodation facility for customers who use it for workation and remote work in peacetime, and in the event of a disaster, we will make full use of the facilities and operate it as a base to support local residents (victims). It will be the first facility in Japan to be used as a closed school, a disaster prevention, and a power plant, and it will be a unique facility in the world.
