Namaste & Welcome all you globetrotters to Nature's big screen of Happy Lemontree Lodge. Where there is no need for a remote controller, no subscription fees and no cable provider. Being on the bank of the Rapti river ( A river rushing down from Himalayas to meet Ganges in India, covering Chitwan National Park northern boundary) all your stress will fade away.
“This was by far one of the most incredible places we’ve ever stayed. The location is unbelievably beautiful and the lodge is absolutely gorgeous, it feels like stepping into a fantasy treehouse. It is hard to explain how beautiful the sunset is directly over the water in front of the lodge. The amenities are basic, especially the communal bathroom but Dharmik is currently renovating a lot of this, and we were not bothered by it in the slightest, if anything it added to the experience and made you feel more in touch with your surroundings. The breakfast is made by Dharmik every morning at any time of the morning and lunch and dinner brought across the road from the most delicious local restaurant for very little money. Dharmik himself cannot be recommended more highly as a host, he is personable and organised everything for us in an eco-conscious way. Because of this it was the most relaxing and easy going time with absolutely no worries of scams or planning of any kind. Dharmik is also always up to talk and is such wonderful company in the evenings over dinner. Also, there are SO many animals, lots of dogs and cats wandering around who are always up for a cuddle or curling up on your bed. Our review adds to a long list of wonderful reviews from this place - we could not recommend this any more highly.”
Shanta Ghar-peace home is a rustic natural eco-home in beautiful Madi village behind the Chitwan National Park.A small heaven discovered by Norwegian hippie Mr. Lasse Hanestard who started with his beloved local friend Ramakanta. It is Sal wood home designed by local carpenters in old Nepali traditional way where everything is pure eco: dry red mud floor with Hey carpets & beautiful collection of handicraft. “To all travellers of Nepal...you must visit Ramakanta and his family, at their amazing place in Madi village. Around 2 hours outside Chitwan city and 1 hour from Chitwan National park. It is absolutely amazing! Quiet and peaceful, with the sound of the wild jungle in the background. It can be a little difficult to find...but Ramakanta is very helpful and provides both direction (if you come with driver), and pick up for you, at any place nearby Chitwan...so no problem at all. As the city girl I am, I have to compliment Ramakanta and his family for both their great hospitality and patience with me. Ramakanta and his family, is kind, welcoming and extremely helpful, and they care 100% for their visitors. Ramakanta went out of all expectations, to show me the Jungle and the stunning nature of his birthplace. He’s also been a trekking guide in Pokhara and Annapurna for over 10 years, so he’s also very helpful, with good tips of where to go, and what to see in Pokhara and Annapurna. Ramakanta build his eco place all by himself, and everything is homemade. Food is made from lovely fresh vegetables from his eco garden, and you will never leave Ramakantas home hungry, as his lovely wife cooks you the most delicious and tasteful food, and she will always serve you plenty of it. Good tips for visiting Ramakanta...bring very good flip flops! Other than that Ramakanta and his family, provides you everything you’ll need, for a wonderful stay at their place. Dear Ramakanta and family, from my heart, thank you for giving this city girl an amazing adventure, and for an extraordinary memorable experience. Cecilie”
Namaste! We are three generations in one house and we are happy to welcome you in our family. Our house has three rooms for our guests with private bathroom. You will eat food which comes mostly from our garden and you will drink our special nepali milk tea, where the milk comes fresh from our two cows :-) We are a Nepali family who are still living with our religion and the old traditions and the way of treating visitors with respect, kindness and the hospitality the Nepali are know for.
“This was my 15th Airbnb experience and my favourite by far!! Not only did I get a clean, comfortable space and delicious breakfast but I got a mother, a father, brother, sister, grandma and grandpa, cute dog...because really was treated as one of the family!! They are such a beautiful, funny, thoughtful family...They went beyond what is expected from a host. Dilu organised me activities/buses and took me on walk in jungle, Sanjan took me on motorbike to a lake and sacred river and to play pool with his friends, and Binu invited me to her daycare centre, and to hang out and eat fresh oranges/coconut/mystery fruits...I stayed 6 days and could've stayed longer. Sauraha is a very relaxing place to be and easy to make friends with locals. So I highly recommend this homestay if you want to fully immerse yourself in Nepali culture!! Thank you all so much, I will be back :-) X”
