Family-friendly holiday rentals in Christ Church

This was my first time staying at an AirBnB in Barbados after several visits to either family members or hotels while visiting the island. My entire family (wife, 2 kids and my mom) were all highly impressed as were friends and family who visited us. The pool was perfect, the beach was amazing and listening to the waves on the balcony became a way for all of us to find peace and quiet. The security was friendly and informative. Our host Jameela was an ANGEL! We have many travel struggles getting to the island and she was always responsive, supportive and helpful. The cleaning lady was so friendly and did an awesome job. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are back in Barbados!!!

Phillip was an amazing host on Airbnb, he was quick to respond, answered all questions, provided accurate information and made our first Airbnb experience a wonderful one.

We stayed at 204 Mistle Cove for one week. The location is right in the heart of Lawrence Gap with all restaurants and amenities within walking distance. The apartment itself is just as advertised, although the view is actually nicer than the pictures. The main room sleeps with a broadview of the ocean and the calming sounds of waves. The patio is spacious and perfect for breakfast , lunch and dinners in front of the ocean. My daughter loved the pool and the ocean front was a lot of fun with the high waves. A calmer and longer beach was only a two min walk from the apartment at Dover. Overall, we had everything we could have needed here, and would easily stay again if we go back to Barbados.

Only a 5 min walk to the freights bay surf break - so if you’re going to surf this is an awesome place to stay. The house was very spacious. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable stay. Met fantastic people sharing the same block. Nice to hang around the pool and chill. Beach is 2 mins walk so easy to get to and the sea is a stunning turquoise blue.

This place was very nice.. 2 bedroom 3 beds both bedrooms air conditioned, ceiling fans in every room and 2 standing floor fans in the living/dining area. The open floor plan in the living space meant everywhere was kept pretty cool and with the temperatures in Barbados lately was much appreciated. One and a half toilets meant there was no waiting unnecessarily. The pool and hot tub were a nice addition and all the neighbours were quite friendly. I liked that there was lots of pots and pans and the kitchen actually had items in it you could use ..air fryer was a nice addition. Coupled wit the communication and friendliness of Katie.. the property manager… I would highly recommend this place, easy transport links with buses to some of the most popular areas nearby and an easy 30 minute stroll to the Friday night Fish Fry at Oistins.. great beaches nearby as well and some lovely restaurants. You could be in Oistins or st. Lawrence Gap within 10-15 minutes…All around a great place.

Spacious apartment, great location short walk to grocery shopping, restaurants, beaches and entertainment. The apartment has new stove and refrigerator, the washing machine works but it’s old. TV and wifi all great. The beds are very comfortable. Lots of towels and sheets. The bathrooms need some updating. The apartment is quite airy but in addition the fans and AC make it very comfortable. The neighbours are very friendly. We are definitely hoping to stay here again when we return to Barbados.

wonderful place in a quiet area near some of the most well known surf-spots on the south coast and the silver sands beach in barbados. situated on the coastline, you can hear the waves of the sea day and night. Jaqueline was very uncomplicated and helpful in every way. highly recommended.

Lex’s place had it all. There is a beautiful beach right outside the back door, it’s walkable to a grocery store, several cafes and bars and the Friday fish fry. We also could grab busses right outside the house to get to Bridgetown for more beaches and restaurants. Walking around felt safe (well lit) but of course be aware of your surroundings and the cars wiz by so be aware of where the sidewalks are. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We loved how there were lots of towels and pillows! The only thing to prepare for is that the second bedroom gets traffic noise so maybe bring earplugs if you’re sleeping in that room.

I absolutely loved staying at this Airbnb. Had a very spacious cottage, with my own private little garden. It also has a large very well kept main garden. It is two minutes walk to the boardwalk and the sea, and many restaurants and bars and shops in close proximity. The hosts were extremely friendly, very nice people, also live on site. They have a Beautiful ginger and white cat, who spent a lot of time with me, I was there for three weeks and still miss that lovely cat.

Great apartment, 2 bedrooms, lovely layout, well equipped kitchen. Host very helpful and responsive. Worth noting - no air-conditioning but fans in the bedroom work well. Would advise renting a car to get around.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Paolo was extremely helpful and friendly with great recommendations. The house is on a cute gated street across the street from a great surfing spot. Walking distance to Miami Beach which is a pleasant beach with a ton of shade trees. Oistins local fishing village is close enough to walk. For more lively area a quick jaunt to Rockley beach by car. For us a quiet walk to the surf and beach was ideal. Paolo must be one of the friendliest hosts we’ve had! The house was spacious and serene. Kitchen had all the necessary items. Can’t wait to return!

A really nice place! Everything what you need. Close to silver rock kite beach. Miss Sergent was really sweet and helpful! Only downside is that there can be a bit noise during the night, when you got the windows open. Would recommend everyone to book it, great value for money!

Words cannot express what a great person Hallam was. From the time we landed he picked us up and drove us to get food and then almost every day after he took us on tours of the island and he also took us to see a cricket game. He showed us all the best spots the island had to offer. He felt more like family. He treated me and my wife better than my own family. He’s an awesome person. The house is not far from oisten and st Lawrence gap, which are the tourist and local favorites hang out spots. He provided everything in the house from towels to utensils and cooking gas. WiFi and internet and cable were all available as well. He took us to buy groceries and was available day and night for anything that we needed. Thank you very much Mr Watson for your great hospitality. When we left this morning and you gave us a hug and said you had love for us we really appreciated that. We will miss you. There are secret angels in the world and you are definitely one of them!

Jeena and Marc were fantastic hosts. Very helpful and easy to communicate with prior to and during our stay. The Blue Turtle at Rockley was just as advertised and a great spot to enable us to enjoy the south of Barbados. Cute and quiet area with a pool right on the golf course. Close walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants. Would recommend to those who want to be in a happening area of the island. Had a blast and looking forward to the chance of visiting again! Joanne's place was just perfect to what I was looking for, perfect location, 2 minutes drive to the beach, 2 minuets to grocery stores, and restaurants it was a very relaxing apartment had everything we needed, wouldn't ask for anything more or less...thanks again to Joanne for having us and we will definitely be returning to this place in the future

Our host, Cathy is the absolute best host. She made herself available to us 24/7 and truly meant it. The house is in a safe area, however, it is up a hill which can be difficult to walk up. Regarding the house, there is absolutely everything one may need for the pool and beach. From beach chairs to pool toys, Cathy has got it. My family and I would definitely book again next time we are in Barbados.

This unit was exactly what we needed. We enjoy our privacy and freedom to go on our schedule. You really need a car but it is worth it to be away from the busy strip and in lovely grounds. Dawn was so helpful in connecting us with activities and recommending service providers. Everyone she recommended was fantastic. From car rentals to restaurants to activities, they were all focused on helping us have a great experience. Barbados did not disappoint and this space was a great home base. We also appreciated how spacious the unit was with high ceilings and open concept. Our teenage daughter had the huge second bedroom which provided her own space to relax. The pool is well maintained and we enjoyed swimming in the late afternoons. There was hardly anyone ever in it besides us. Recommend for families.

Really enjoyed our 6-night stay in this clean, comfortable and spacious apartment. The kitchen was well equipped, even had a rolling pin and cake tins if you were inclined to bake. We appreciated the luggage scales, such a useful amenity. There is no traffic noise as the complex is just off the main road. There is a resident rooster that starts crowing early, but ear plugs fix that. We highly recommend this apartment. We can only echo all the positive reviews on this apartment.

We stayed for two weeks and it was the perfect location for a break in Barbados. Lemon Arbor is very peaceful with all the facilities you could need. The pool is a great size and never very busy. The apartment had everything we could need and the balcony with BBQ was wonderful for relaxing. There is a good cafe/bar on site and it is easy walking distance from Worthing food court and beaches and taxis or buses to the rest of the island. Air conditioning and fans were very much appreciated. Extra thanks also due to Margaret for her weekly clean. We will certainly be back. Thank you.

Outstanding property with a magnificent view. The kitchen was well stocked, the unit was very clean, and it was described perfectly. We appreciated the 12 beach towel, 3 time maid service and restocking of toilet paper. The property manager (Chris) was very responsive as the A/C did not work in one bedroom and he quickly replaced the unit within 24 hours. I highly recommend this unit and the property manager.

We loved our stay at Sapphire Beach 209! Large, fully equipped condo with amazing ocean views! Ray was an excellent host offering suggestions from restaurants to navigating the local bus transport. He responded quickly and was extremely helpful! We hope to return next year and have already recommended this exact unit to family members.
