Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

Relax with the whole family in this quiet lodge, in harmony with nature 7 km from the Santa Luzia dam, where you can enjoy the river pool, there is a coffee bar (Bar da Cal) or you can enjoy a delicious meal at the As Beiras restaurant (casal da lapa) A few kms from the Serra da Estrela, Fundão, Piódão , Fajao. When it snows in the Serra da Estrela and you can see the all-white top of Portela Unhais. In Portela de Unhais, we have the Por Sol coffee shop, gas stations, a supermarket, and an ATM.
