“Ideal country accommodation, excellently presented, perfectly equipped, near to all amenities and run by a wonderful person. From the moment of booking everything was taken care of; Cheryl was thoughtful enough to provide a photo of the turning into the lane through which the premises are located. I arrived before dark to ensure that I would find it without a hitch although in hindsight it is easy to find. Upon arrival I was greeted by Cheryl in the more than ample parking area and shown to the accommodation - a large, well insulated summerhouse situated to the rear of the house in the paddock. I was shown around and familiarised with the layout and facilities. I was then left to my own devices although I enjoyed several conversations with Cheryl as and when our paths crossed (I was staying for work so out early and returning in the evening). The accommodation is excellent; more than spacious enough for a couple, excellently equipped and very characterful - A home from home. Although only just off the main road it feels as though you are located in a more remote setting - very peaceful and quiet. Cheryl was kind enough to provide all the essentials for breakfast and this was the icing on the cake for me. I would like to return later in the year to enjoy the peace and see the garden/ paddock in bloom. There is really no scope for improvement. Highly recommended and superb value for money.”
The room is very private and has a double bed, large wardrobe, desk, and a comfy chair. It has its own patio/garden with large doors and blackout curtains (for an amazing sleep any time of the day). The toilet and shower are just outside the room and are rarely used by anyone else. The room has a 24" TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime (no terrestrial TV), which can also be used to browse the Internet or watch YouTube videos.
“Niss is a very welcoming and lovely host and very thoughtful leaving cupboard space in the kitchen and use of all amenities if required. The bedroom was a good space including a desk which I used for work and the bed very. Shower was power shower and all were very clean. Very light due to the patio doors which can be used as a private entrance if preferred. Good location for Street and Glastonbury. I would recommend.”
Beautiful rustic & interesting old boarding house with heaps of character located at the bottom of Wearyall Hill. Close to Red Brick Building, Boca Bar & Brides Mound. Equal distance between Glastonbury & Street town centres (15/20min walk). Free parking available. We have 2 rooms available however due to Covid-19 we will no longer be renting these out at the same time unless part of same group hence being able to accommodate 3 people.
“Claire and Jake are amazing hosts, they made everything possible to make my stay the best they could. They are very friendly and warm welcoming and treated me like one of they're friends. Airbnb should create a category called supermarvelicious cause they would fit right in that. Thank you so much for the lovely week I had. Definitely recommend and if I ever need a place to stay again I will return to Claire and Jake.”
