Our cosy hut consists of a comfortable bedroom with an enchanted view of Assaroe Lake: enjoy it on our 3 deckings! The cabin is very close to our house but secluded from it, buried in the woods. The room provides a tranquill escape from frantic life:- there’s Wi-Fi but no television , just a radio. Kitchen facilities are basic but functional. We provide the basis for a continent breakfast. Beaches and hiking trails are very close by. WE ACCEPT PETS ONLY AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THEIR OWNER

Harben Cottage in the green hills of Ardara

Harben Cottage is a 150 year old traditional stone cottage - 5mins drive from the Heritage Town of Ardara (20mins walk). Set amongst lush green hills & sitting next to a bubbling mountain stream. A mixture of new and old; low doorways, a turf fireplace, water supplied from a mountain spring, but also a gas cook top, oven, microwave, WIFI, & central heating. NB: that the toilet & shower are housed in outside annex - this may not suit everyone but adds a touch of authenticity for the brave!

Built 180+ years ago, this newly renovated stone cottage is situated in an area locally known as "Up the Glen" just 5 minute drive from Kilcar village. If peace and quiet, Country views, rambling walks or to just look up at the stars is what you are looking for, then this is the place for you! The cottage is wifi and TV free. And with limited phone service in the valley (but can be found close by) its a beautiful place for a digital detox. Many local attractions with in 10-20 minute drive.

This modern, luxurious cottage is truly special. It is located in the Tawnawully mountains by Lough Eske. It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

2 miles to Cashel, Glencolmcille village (pubs, shop, takeaway, trad music). Sliabh Liag cliffs 15 minutes away. 5 minute drive or 50 minute walk to Glen Beach. Visit Folk Village, Oideas Gael for Irish language, hill walking or just relax! Beautiful scenery, lovely beaches. Wee House has oil-fired heating, satellite TV, books, garden space and board games available. A place to escape from the hustle & bustle. Mobile phone signal is limited due to hills. This tastefully restored formed Sheep Farmer's cottage is ideal base for your visit to Donegal. Located on the Wild Atlantic Way just outside the village of Kilcar with Sleive League to the West and Killybegs and Donegal town to the south. This is an ideal place to settle into for a night or two and return to each evening after visiting the beautiful Donegal countryside. There are wonderful views from the cottage of Sleive League (Sliabh Liag) beyond.

Our nearest neighbour is way over the hill so you'll be completely undisturbed during your stay. The cottage and water is heated by stove using turf/ wood. A complimentary bag of each will be available on arrival. The kitchen and shower room are modern and well equipped. There's a gas-powered fridge.
