The Anchorage, Arrochar, was built circa 1913 and has been newly upgraded in December 2019 giving the cottage a luxurious interior with gas central heating and beautiful wood burning stove. Two ensuites and a beautiful bathroom provides guests with plenty of room whilst the large garden with pizza oven and BBQ has amazing views where guests can relax on the decking or seek shade in the lean to. Everyone can use the fire pit, games room or play area to keep occupied or use the Kayaks provided.

Our cottage is perfect for families, couples or friends who want a peaceful base to explore glorious Argyll. This is a truly magical place, with incredible sea views, and a large garden that leads straight on to the shore. It's also a great base for exploring the Isle of Bute, the "Secret Argyll Coast", and the Arrochar Alps. After a big day out, you can come back and relax in front of the log burner. Leac Na Sith means "Hearthstone of Tranquility"... it could not be a more appropriate name.

From walks, to boat trips, golf, Islands to visit, kayaking, museums, castles and beaches, there is something for everyone. Make sure you visit the newly built bird hide by the pond opposite the shop. There is a village shop and post office a few doors down, plus an excellent butchers behind The Tigh an Truish pub.

The lodge is also ideal for a golfing getaway, with 5 courses nearby and Machrihanish being known for having the best opening hole in the world.

There is ample parking and a gated/fenced private garden. Although on the edge of the village, Maida's cottage feels remote with a rather stunning backdrop. There are many hills to walk. There is no TV or WiFi, this is a cosy getaway from hectic lives so sit back and enjoy the log fire with a good book.
