Guest house holiday rentals in Detroit River

It’s our second time staying here and it won’t be our last! It is the perfect spot for a quiet peaceful getaway right on the water. Everything you need is there and there is nothing better than falling asleep to the sound of the waves! Thank you Steve and Natasha for sharing your piece of paradise!

We were so happy to return. A little planning ahead (& a couple little asks) on our part made this an even better visit than last. It will be tough to find another place that suits us and the pups as well—great opportunity to think up another reason to visit their guest house again. Cozy and awesome! This was an amazing place to stay. Beautiful and peaceful. And the town of Brighton was outstanding. We had a very minor issue with the tv connecting to the internet and it was fixed by the owners within minutes. I would highly recommend and I would stay there again. . . several times!

Very kind and responsive host! House was close to downtown area which was walkable and had great restaurants. Loved the bath and had all that you could need when out of town (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, kitchen supplies, fridge, microwave). Comfortable bed and pillows too :)

Accepted my last minute reservation. Host is very nice & friendly. Keeps the place very clean, organized, and private. Was able to watch movies & play video games, without having to worry about volume. Bed & couch were very comfy. Water in shower is nice & toasty.

After a few years of staying at overpriced, non descriptive hotels in A2, we wanted something different for my daughter’s graduation. I wish we had found Ani’s place earlier. A carriage house that is clean, tastefully decorated, and walking distance to Kerrytown and downtown.

The apartment was great, all information was clear and laid out upfront (eg. stairs, how to get in, what to do when checking out etc.). It had all the amenities we needed to prepare our own meals, as we are on a strict eating lifestyle. Heidi thought about everything for us to feel at home, and even had games to play if we wanted to. I would highly recommend this place to stay for anyone visiting the Windsor area. Heidi is also very responsive if I had any questions.

Nora is a great host. She will do everything she can to make sure you have a good experience at her place. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and provides good recommendations!

This was a beautiful rental in a perfect location for our daughter's graduation from U of M. Everything was brand new, the layout was perfect for our family, and David was super responsive and helpful with getting things set up to use the patio area. I would definitely stay here again for games or events - absolutely perfect location just two blocks from gate 9 at the stadium.

If you’re looking for a relaxing beach vacation, this is the place for you! We stayed here as a family of 4 (daughters ages 5 and 6). We loved the area and the beach. There are plenty of fun activities and restaurants within driving distance if the weather is bad. Nearby Wheatley is quiet and has a great little ice cream shop and anything you could need. We loved our morning coffee on the covered porch. Stephany was wonderful and so quick to respond. We’d love to be back someday!

A great host and a lovely weekend getaway for all of those who are tired of being in a big city. My girlfriend and I enjoyed paddleboarding and meeting local neighbors in the area. Recommended and would stay here again!

We stayed at Sandra’s place for 11 days during our very first visit from Sri Lanka, and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, Sandra and her husband gave us the warmest welcome — we never felt like we were in a new country. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were peaceful and scenic, making it a perfect spot to relax. Sandra and her husband treated us like family, and their kindness meant so much to us. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, and beautiful home to stay.

We loved our stay at Martin‘s place, where we went to stay for graduation and my wife wishes she had known about it for Parents weekend as well. It was so great to be just a block or two from Michigan Stadium and not have to worry about buses or vans or Ubers back-and-forth. Very comfortable place and we would stay there again

Evan and Gianna’s home is very lovely and felt like home instantly as we walked in. Located only 10min drive from downtown Detroit and the neighborhood is full with historical architectures, very quiet and peaceful!

Bridgett is an excellent hostess! We really enjoyed our stay and we plan to stay again in the future. We all felt right at home.

The guesthouse was charming, clean, spacious, and had all the amenities necessary for a great stay. In a beautiful neighborhood and very close to a bus stop to take into Downtown Detroit. Adam was very kind and helpful during our stay.

Beautiful home ! Worth the stay

Stayed here before and the area was just as beautiful in the winter. The snow on the trees surrounding the area and the wildlife was a beautiful thing to see. Very nice place for a little get away in a beautiful, peaceful area.
