Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Washington

Great spot! Perfect for families or large groups visiting the DC area. Was able to access the recently finished basement that includes a second bathroom. The covered patio was perfect for family hangs and the kitchen has everything we needed. Would definitely come back!

The James-Cecil home was an amazing choice for my Family. My family and I had an absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, The home was spotless, just like the pictures from the Air B&B website. The home was beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were cozy which lead to an amazing night sleep being away from home. What the James and Cecil group didn’t say was how amazing the view at night overlooking Washington DC was breathtaking from the house. The James and Cecil Group went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I recommend the James and Cecil home to anyone looking to create beautiful memories with your family. I would like to say this experience was a 10/10.

We stayed at the property and were blown away by the location, size of the bedrooms, and accommodations. The outdoor terrace is a bonus. If you have a group of friends or a family needing a good location, close to everything, great restaurants, transportation, and a vibrant area. We were a group of six, everyone felt right at home the moment we walked into the house. The house is awesome. I've stayed in other rental properties, this one will be my go-to when I'm in town. We had to change our stay a couple of times before coming, the host was extremely accommodating. This is a major plus when you can get in touch with the host, and they are reasonable and understand that sometimes things happen.

I had a fantastic stay at David’s Airbnb! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. What really stood out was David’s exceptional hospitality. He answered all my questions right away and was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout my stay. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming host.

Great place, clean, had a little issue with the washing machine but Carlos responded fairly quickly. The House was a little far from the monuments but worth the stay. The stair are a little steep would not recommend anyone with a disability. Other that that I enjoys my stay.

Rita's place is a terrific location, in the charming Capitol Hill neighborhood with historic buildings but also super close to the Eastern Market metro station, Trader Joe's, and top notch restaurants and cafes. All these were 5 to 10 minutes away walking. The metro made it easy for us to get to the Mall and various museums and other neighborhoods, 15-25 minutes away by metro train. The neighborhood is quiet at night, and the house itself has been nicely renovated. We used the well-stocked kitchen every morning for breakfast before heading out for the day. Know that the house is old, so floors creak and rooms are small and staircase is narrow, but that's part of the charm. Rita was extremely responsive for small things that we needed. We really enjoyed our stay (four adults and two kids) and visiting D.C. Thank you Rita!

Jonathan was very responsive before and during the stay. The home had plenty of space for our group and was within walking distance to lots of attractions.

This was my fourth stay at Adam’s lovely carriage house and definitely won’t be my last! I’m already thinking about my next trip to my home away from home.

Great stay overall! Good fit for young adults that plan to be out and about but want something cozy and clean to come back to. She was very communicative and understanding. Her offering parking is a game changer in the city!

We had a lovely time at John’s unit! Everything looked exactly like the pictures and the description outlined the litany of amenities quite nicely. It was very clean and John included quite a few “in case you forgot” items which was a nice touch. Everything was clearly labeled and it was a relaxing place to come back to after a long day in the city.

I really loved staying at Alana's apartment. It was in a great location, and she was a lovely host. The metro was a quick walk, and there are fantastic places to eat along the same street (I especially loved the ice cream place across the street!). The bed was incredibly comfortable (I love a firm mattress), and I could only barely hear the street noise from the bedroom. It was a fabulous stay.

Spent 4 nights at Ben & Tessa's studio apartment and I would gladly stay with them again. The property was clean, kitchen was well-stocked (k-cup supply was greatly appreciated!) and the water pressure and rain showerhead in the bathroom were AMAZING after long, hot days of sightseeing. The neighborhood is charming and clean, Eastern Market Metro was an easy walk and there are a variety of restaurants also within walking distance. My son and I truly felt like we were part of the neighborhood. I also appreciated the convenience of having a street parking permit included. All communication with the hosts was quick and professional.

This was our 2nd stay here...a wonderful home base when visiting DC! Colorful, cozy, sparkling clean & spacious...we enjoy comfortably relaxing in a convenient city location. This place is fantastic! I’ve stayed in several places in DC, and I believe this is my favorite. The apartment is super clean and features a high-end kitchen. It was easy to control the temperature with two AC units, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, which is perfect for hot DC summers. The apartment is located just around the corner from great restaurants, grocery stores, and a pharmacy. There’s also plenty of nightlife, but the apartment is tucked away on Corcoran, so it’s still peaceful and quiet. Michael was very nice and gave excellent suggestions on where to eat and grab a drink.
