Moongate Cottage - Renovated 18th century cottage

Lovely old small stone cottage recently renovated to a high standard, located in a quiet hamlet within easy reach of the Wye Valley, Hereford and the Marches, Black Mountains and the Forest of Dean. The cottage is surrounded by woodland and nature with walks in every direction from your doorway. The village is accessed from a single track lane and is very rural and peaceful, yet only 4 miles from Monmouth. There are two working farms in the village and farm traffic can just occasionally be busy.

Spacious and charming Georgian home with private garden and parking. Easy 12 min. walk into historic Monmouth town centre with diverse shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Our home has been in our family since 1923 and retains many original features but updated to suit modern comfort and needs. Great access to beautiful surrounding region of Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Our home boasts a well-appointed kitchen (with AGA), fast internet, sunroom and huge windows that fill the house with light.

Pat's Flat: a converted Pig Barn located on a peaceful farm, within the beautiful Wye Valley AONB. The historic towns of Monmouth and Ross on Wye, the river and Forest of Dean with their outdoor leisure activities - canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, biking - are easily accessible. A couple of pubs, eateries and village shop are within a few miles walk. Sorry - no pets - this is a working farm and there are friendly Labradors in the adjoining property who are likely to come and say hello.

stylish experience at this centrally-located place. Enjoy Our Georgian apartment, that is in the centre of the historic market town of Monmouth. And is a short distance from the Wye valley, Tintern abbey and many beautiful walks within the Forest of Dean. Beautifully decorated and featuring original glass windows, period furniture, and a recently refurbished bathroom. We provide tea and coffee facilities in the apartment but we also have a private, kitchenette which is down the hall.
