In Conversation with America
Superhost, America and her husband Nick own Oastbrook Estate Vineyard in Robertsbridge, where they host two listings and a wine tasting Experience on Airbnb. Hosting has allowed them to share their love of great wine, while supporting local trade.
"Hosting on Airbnb helps me grow my business and the community.”
When guests arrive, they’re often pleasantly surprised by the one-of-a-kind surroundings, and are excited to explore all that the vineyard and the local area has to offer. The listings are not just a vital source of extra income for America and Nick’s award-winning wine business but also for the community.

"Hosting on Airbnb helps me grow my business and the community.”
America’s proud to show off nearby Bodiam Castle, and the vineyard she planted herself, on the banks of the River Rother. Underserved by typical hospitality options, America and Nick were keen to entice more visitors to the vineyard, so they decided to build listings on the grounds.

“We got all the local craftsmen, all the carpenters, so all the wood is from here, all the design is from here.”
Passionate about craft and supporting the local community, America was able to employ local tradespeople to support the design and build of her listings.

“The best thing about hosting is that I love people, so I like to meet people and make new friends.”
America enjoys welcoming guests to her listings and exchanging stories - whether they’ve come to get away from the city or they're celebrating a major milestone, they’ll leave as a friend.
