Seashell Cottage is one of two four star self-catering cottages located in the beautiful 200 year-old conservation village of Ellenabeich just half an hour south of Oban. A perfect place to stay with most of what this area has to offer on your doorstep. The Oyster Bar/Restaurant less than a minutes walk away. The Puffer Bar and Restaurant/Tea Room on Easdale Island only a short two minute ferry ride away. Sea-fari boat trips leave from the harbour, the local slate beach and hill walks all walkable from the cottage. The village is the perfect place to enjoy the sunsets in the evenings. Ellenabeich is reached by crossing the famous 'Bridge over the Atlantic' to the Isle of Seil in Argyll, in the West Highlands of Scotland. These two beautifully appointed semi-detached properties come equipped with linen and towels and luxury toiletries for your stay and include electricity plus one bucket of coal for the fire. Additional fuel is available.
“My husband and I plus our two dogs stayed at Seashell Cottage for 4 nights for our honeymoon. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. Annabel was an incredibly attentive and kind host, and her property was absolutely stunning. Very well appointed, we had absolutely everything we needed, as well as a lovely bottle of prosecco! I'm a bit if a clean bathroom fan, and the bathroom at the cottage was immaculate. The bed was super comfy. The welcome book had a wealth of useful local knowledge, and Annabel herself gave us many helpful tips. The area around the cottage is outstandingly beautiful and great fun to explore. We look forward to coming back with our bikes to do some more exploring soon! Thank you Annabel.”
Situated on the picturesque Isle of Seil in Argyll, connected to the mainland by the famous Bridge over the Atlantic, our cottage is in an area with plenty to see and do. From walks, to boat trips, Islands to visit, kayaking, museums, castles and beaches, there is something for everyone.
“The cottage is a beautiful retreat in a stunning location. Alison and Thomas have created something very special here, with beautiful finishing touches and attention to detail. It has everything you could possibly need and more! Perfect base to explore more of the Highlands and nearby islands. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Thank you both for the warm welcome and wonderful stay.”
