Adjacent to Ayukawa Beach, you can enjoy the blue sea during the day, the sunset on the horizon in the evening, and the fishing lights and starry sky at night.It is a special location where you can feel the Sea of Japan, which changes its appearance every season, at any time during your stay. The building uses solid cedar wood for all ceilings, floors and walls. The scent and warmth of the wood creates an extraordinary space where you can relax and escape from everyday life.You can also enjoy the sea and sunset from the bath, and spend a luxurious time while soaking in the bathtub. The inn is a two-story private building. It has 4 single beds on the 1st floor and 1 double bed on the 2nd floor, and can accommodate up to 6 guests. There is also a terrace overlooking the sea, which is ideal for morning coffee or a quiet evening. The surrounding area is one of the best fishing spots on the Echizen coast. A fishing boat is departing from Ayukawa Fishing Port in front of you, so it is also recommended for a stay for the purpose of fishing. We also run the Seaside Café Maare, which is a 3-minute drive away, where you can enjoy a BBQ without having to bring anything. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
