Holiday rentals with lake access in Edam-Volendam

We’ve enjoyed staying at Gerrit’s place. Host was friendly and communicated well. House has a lovely little garden 🏡, and beautiful surroundings 🌳🏡. It’s a peaceful neighborhood! highly recommended :)

Great host and beautiful home We really appreciated the host flexibility for letting us arrive a little early… It was our first night after an overnight flight so that meant a lot to us Thanks Karel.

What a lovely little place, right in the heart of the old city, super close to harbour and restaurants. We used the train station a lot, which is only a 10 minute walk away. The house is clean, modern and has all amenities. Communication with Jouke was easy and we received quick responses. We would stay here again in a hearbeat!

we spent a few days in this very nice apartment and were really excited! The hosts were very nice and helpful. Close to many eateries and small shops, The location is wonderful, Walking to the sea, etc... it was fun:)) Love to come back!:))

Rene’s home is in a lovely location next to the walking trail along a canal and very close to Julian Park and a short walk to the Harbor. We enjoyed riding the included bikes along the lake towards Enkhuizen . His home has a very well supplied kitchen with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The upstairs room with kitchen and living room and large table had lots of natural light and was a delightful area to “hang out”. Washer and dryer in garage are also very helpful.

Thim was great at communicating and had a lovely home for us to stay.

Clean, well equipped and very beautiful home. It is important to specify that transport goes to Amsterdam Noord/Central but a ticket (excluding GVB) is applicable. Everything about it is excellent

The Hosts were very lovely and friendly, we got a lot of recommendations for the surrounding area and Amsterdam which we couldn’t sadly all do in three days but we’ll be happy to be back and to see all the other things! We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this place for everyone. It’s a cozy and quiet place, but especially in August - when the Fair in Hoorn starts - there’s a lot to do and see! Beautiful apartment with warm decoration and very well-equipped whether it is in products and kitchen equipment. A favorite for the terrace away from the noise of the city. The apartment is well located in the city center where you can do everything on foot. Beautiful discovery of the city of Hoorn which is very charming and from where you can visit Amsterdam as its surroundings. Thank you for the very clear instructions and hospitality.

We had a great time in this lovely peaceful village. The apartment is beautiful, it is tastefully decorated and with high quality materials. Amazing terrace with stunning sea views. Sparkling clean Annelies is always available to answer questions, very responsive and kind. We'll be happy to go back!

we really enjoyed our time at Maces house. The building had several units under construction but that never was an issue. we would recommend!

Nice looks brand new, easy to locate great waterfront views

Very beautiful, new apartment — spacious and cozy. Spotlessly clean, located in a nice neighborhood. There’s a coffee on the ground floor with incredibly delicious ice cream. A bus stop is just 5–10 minutes away, and it takes about 15 minutes to get to the city center. The host was very responsive, explained and showed everything, and was always available. Be careful with parking — there’s a white-marked zone across the street, but there’s a sign at the beginning of the street. Our car got towed.

Very beautiful place peaceful relaxing

We spent 4 nights over Easter in Rudi‘s cottage and throughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very bright and clean with a comfy bed. and sofa, a great shower and excellent lighting (this is something that I often miss in hotel rooms). The view from the terrace is outstanding. We were lucky with the weather and spent many hours there after cycling in the area or visiting nearby Utrecht. Rudi is a very friendly person, always smiling, giving us recommendations etc. Would re-visit anytime. Thank you, Rudi - also for the delicious welcome-cake!

Absolutely wondeful cottage on the water - cosy, comfortable and very well thought out. We had a fantastic time going out on the boat (our little 4 year old learned to row!) and sitting on the deck, enjoying watching the ducks and coots. Mike and Denise are very attentive hosts. We miss it already and hope to be back!

It’s a nice peaceful place with beautiful surroundings. Our kid enjoyed both indoor and outdoor park. Definitely a place to come back again!

Had a very nice stay. Good communication with Richard to enter the cottage (he was still on vacation himself). Very clean cottage with all the comforts. Beautiful large garden with views and lots of tranquility. In the summer it seems wonderful to come back here. A double bed is on the landing and this space cannot be locked. With slightly older children, that is easy to do, but given the bed is on an open staircase, I do not recommend this for very young children. Or you have to sleep under a very sloping wall as parents. Underfloor heating was very pleasant. We had a great time in the area! Thank you Richard!

Angelique is a super host, very responsive and on hand if you need anything answered or help with directions etc. I have not encountered a better air bnb host :-) The water cottage is peaceful and restful and has everything you need. For Amsterdam you must be either prepared to drive or happy to walk just over 1.3 miles into the town. Its a 45 min bus into Amsterdam which is pretty regular or you can drive 15 mins to a train station and make your way in from there. We had no problem with this at all but some might be put off. However the location and quiet peace by the water was super and worth it!

We had a wonderful, unforgettable time with Rianne and Ramond. It's one of the nicest Airbnb's we've stayed at so far. The small cottage on the lake leaves nothing to be desired. We sat outside in the countryside in the evening and watched the ducks and could marvel at the most magnificent sunsets. The place and everything around it is decorated with a lot of love for detail and stylish. In the well-equipped kitchen you could conjure up a delicious dinner. Rianne and Ramond are very nice and warm hosts. They were always available and very responsive. Dear Rianne and Ramond, Thank you for making it possible for people to have a nice time on your beautiful spot on earth. :)
