The check-in was delayed, but it was helpful that they handled me politely.They also gave us recommendations for shops, and we had a fun sightseeing.

HIGHLY recommend, true gem alert ! Maki was one of the loveliest host I have ever encountered, the staff was super friendly and social, advised on local recommendations and gave some helpful tips. Upon my arrival, I already wanted to extend — sadly could only add an additional night but it genuinely is worth your money and only makes your stay and experience in Kōchi (even if you’re just passing by) a 100x times more pleasant. The place is furnished, equipped and decorated with great taste — I’m definitely taking some inspiration back home! Arigatō gozaimashita Maki-san 🥰🙏🏼🌸

It’s a great room with plenty of space, even a small attic! The shared kitchen and living room is very clean with all the things you need, toilet and shower is also bright and clean. Owner is very friendly and speaks English. The location is a bit far from Kochi castle (10minute drive) , but only 5 minutes drive to a big shopping mall and bookstore, they also provide parking space, so I will recommend driving here.

The space was superbly clean and well-organized. There was no clutter in the main living areas, either. If you're going take it slow on the Shimanami Kaido, definitely consider spending the night here. It's a tiny bit out of the way of the main biking route, but it's a perfect place for those planning to explore Ohmishima.

Samaru Guest House was a magical stay that I wished lasted so much longer! The Guest House is tucked away in the beautiful mountains of Kochi Prefecture. I took a Train from Kubokawa to Tosa-Taishō, and the valleys and mountains you get to experience was truly breath taking. The village was picturesque and Yosuke-san was so friendly and warm greeting me at the door of the Guest House and then guiding me to wonderful places to eat. The Guest House was so comfy, with really fun common spaces. I hope one day I can bring some friends to experience the magic of Samaru Guest House and stay for many days :)

Stayed for the first time in 6 years.It has changed since then, but the host Taro and KAYANO have remained the same. We're looking forward to the opportunity to communicate well with our guests. This time, I received a lot of excitement that I didn't have in my daily life. Since the price is rising these days, the bathing fee for hot springs is not reflected. I enjoyed it this time too!

A lovely, no-frills place to stay near the Henro trail. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was soft and very comfortable. Meals were available on request, but there are nice restaurants close by. The host is welcoming and helpful. Recommended!

I had dinner in Takamatsu on the day of my stay, so I checked in late, but the owner welcomed me happily. There was one 2-year-old child, but it was very nice to play with me. Thank you very much. I will stay again if I have the opportunity.

We had a very nice stay. I'm glad I made my stay in Kochi lululu.Playing a game with friendly staff and customers and having a delicious curry is a wonderful memory in this place. I'd love to stay again when I'm in Kochi. It was a short time, but thank you.
