Summer cottage/cabin at Grundsjön

Free Wi-Fi, hot tub, 3 meters from the water, quiet and beautiful, close to nature, dishwasher, washing machine, terrace, private parking, shower and toilet, fireplace, underfloor heating and everything is newly renovated in 2020. Bed linens and towels should be brought by yourself. Cleaning must be done before checking out and must be done thoroughly, for example, vacuuming, drying the floors, dusting the bathroom and kitchen. So you leave the house in the condition it was in when you arrived. Rowing boat is included with the cabin. You need to clean the house before you check out.

Welcome to Finnskogen! Here you will live in a large and cozy house overlooking the lake and with the forest as the closest neighbor. Perfect for the extended family or friends who want nature, tranquility and plenty of space. Swimming, campfire, cross-country skiing, fishing, berry and mushroom picking and walks on beautiful gravel roads – only two hours from Oslo. From Varildgården there are great day trips to Charlottenberg, swimming or skiing in Torsby, Badeland and Selma Lagerlöf's spa in Sunne or a trip to Rotneros park. Hiking, cross-country skiing and swimming locally.

Cozy cottage in the countryside. Lots of great opportunities for nature experiences on foot, on skis and by bike. The swimming area is about 300 m away at the beautiful Nessjøen. Magnor center about 2 km where you have for example Magnor Glassworks and porcelain, Ingelsrud confectionery, Kiwi and gas station. Skotterud about 7 km. There are several shops and cafes there. Sweden is about 4 km away. Charlottenberg shopping center is located a little further in. Alpine center about 20 min away. Kongsvinger golf club about 25 km and there is a golf course in Eda.

Undisturbed location 25 meters to water. Outside, there is a terrace facing both west and south, so you can enjoy breakfast outside in the morning sun and see the evening sunset. Own wood-fired hot tub next to the terrace and barbecue area. Sauna cabin right by the water. Private bathing jetty at a comfortable distance from the cottage (20 m). New boat with motor available to rent.

— ABOUT THE CABIN — We were inspired by The Thief in Oslo. It took two years to build. The result is Tyven — an 80 sqm boutique cabin with a large window overlooking Mjøsa — Norway's largest lake — from the kitchen. Featured in National Geographic Traveller. Private jacuzzi, two full bathrooms, and peace and privacy in Mjøsa's natural surroundings. Kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom on the first floor — living room and two bedrooms on the lower floor. Located right next to Kongsvinger Golf Club (at hole 10 for those who know;)), swimming area, miniature golf and nice hiking areas. 10 minutes drive away from Kongsvinger with swimming pool, bowling, paddle, restaurants, Kongsvinger fortress ++. During the golf season there is also an open restaurant 400 meters away from the house, with good food and a license to sell alcohol :) The house contains four bedrooms, with the possibility of setting up an alcove in addition.

After a gravel road up on a mountain in the heart of the Finnish forest, you will find the tranquility of this little gem with everything needed for a wonderful holiday. Here you live with the silence in the middle of nature, right by a lake but with all the amenities you might need. In the surrounding area there are several lakes and nice fishing waters, the opportunity to pick berries and mushrooms, hike or why not take a trip up to "Rännbergs Toppen" (hiking trail up to a nearby mountain peak)
