Our time at the cabin was wonderful. Kristin welcomed us warmly and showed us everything. If you have any questions, she was always easily accessible. The tranquility in the middle of nature is beautiful and the neighbors are also very friendly. The surrounding area is great for skiing or walking. The cottage always got warm quickly with the fireplace. The possibility to get electricity via solar worked well, but we just liked to use the candles for lighting. Thank you for everything, we will be happy to come back sometime! :-)

Røstvollen Wilderness Farm in the heart of Femundsmarka

This place is absolutely beautiful - very peaceful among beautiful mountains and the accommodation is very cozy and well equipped. But what really stands out are the hosts - they are wonderfully nice and helpful - available, lent us what we needed along the way and helped find activities. We had both fed horses, cross-country and downhill skiing, used kicks and fed reindeer. Thank you very much for an amazing stay!!

Visited during winter so we had to ski to the lodge which is a nice trip in itself. Place is modern. as it is off-grid, then there are things you need to do on your own as described in the description. Vast skitracks expanding for 10s of km, which is extremely nice. Summer would be probably easier as you can go swimming to the lake next to the lodge. Would recommend for adventurous people. People not willing to put in any own effort will probably feel alien in this place;)

Mountain lodge with amazing views

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Having often spent childhood holidays in this area, it was wonderful to return. I always find it the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy some cross-country skiing in a stunning winter landscape. The cabin’s hillside location provided beautiful views and easy access to several cross country tracks (in summer it is also great for hiking). Inside, everything was tastefully furnished and the kitchen was wonderfully equipped, making our time there both comfortable and cozy—especially when we gathered by the fireplace. A special thank you to Gry, our host, who was especially friendly and responsive. We also really appreciated the electric car charger available at the cabin— a great plus that made our trip even smoother. I’d highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful hillside retreat.

Femund Villa Femundsmarka

A dream house! It was a wonderful week in these very nice and tastefully decorated house! Kitchen very well equipped, everything works well. It's a great pleasure to cook! Large bathroom with double shower and warm tiles in bright colors. Several outdoor seating areas. Good location in bright pine forest with a view to Femunden. Very quiet with short road to Femundstrand. Cozy to sit by the fireplace tonight! The house was warm when I arrived. Owner has responded very quickly and was very friendly and uncomplicated. More opportunities for (ski and foot) trips. Shop in Elgå has everything you need... There you definitely have to come again!!

Closed cabin in the mountains

Cottage is beautifully situated with free views on all sides. Nice light from the inside with a beautiful stove. Jørn was very helpful. Provided clean water, tip about walking in the area. Shop at 32 km distance with possibility of showering. All peace and space. Everything was perfect!

Catching last winter vibes with sauna, cozy cabin with fireplace and even Northern Lights was dream come true. Cabin was very spacious, nice, clean and comfortable. Aud -Lise was really friendly and answered fast. She gave us great recommendations for hiking and skiing around the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay!
