Holiday rentals with breakfast in Esmeraldas

Dominique has a wonderful place. It is perfect to disconnect, live with nature without losing any comfort.

How to summarize a review for a place that has the potential to change your life has been a task. To stay with Cheryl and Jon at the Finca Aveterra is to be unplugged yet connected, cared for with generous hospitality, educated and informed of new ways of living; and for us specifically, reminded of who our Creator God is and the life He intended for us to live. It has been difficult to leave and felt like a departure from friends, family and home when we did. Cheryl was beyond gracious, helpful and thorough coordinating our arrival and departure, performing chef duties (unbelievable), connecting us to in-country travel means, greeting us in the middle of the night; Jon was passionately energetic sharing about syntropic agroforestry, touring us through the farm, the valley (!!), and both touring us through the lodge, sharing the fruit of their labor (literally), engaging conversation and generosity. Thank you for the time and grace of this beautiful place, Jon and CC. Con abrazos.

The place es truly beautiful and you feel that you are in the middle of the mountains, sorrounded by nature and wildlife. The whole stay is spotless, very comfortable and has every single thing that you might need. Eric gives a DELICIOUS breakfast with local fruits and home-made dishes. It's a truly wonderful place and I'm just exited to come back!

Excellent set up and location. Very quiet and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful. The sound of the river throughout the day makes it super relaxing. The photos are accurate. The room is cozy with big sliding doors, comfy king bed. The outdoor kitchen is stocked with everything we needed, and it was really nice to cook and eat outside and use the firepit in the evening. David was very friendly and helpful. To fully enjoy the place, one needs at least a couple of nights.

A very nice and quiet place, ideal for connecting with a country atmosphere. The host's response and attention is excellent. Definitely a highly recommended place.

What a stunning and one of a kind getaway! The Bird Tower is truly unique and an incredible experience. The views from every level of the tower give a glimpse into different parts of the canopy. Waking up at dawn to hear the birds and see the sunrise at the top level was an unforgettable experience. The night walk was a cool bonus and it was so nice to be on site and just head to bed afterwards. Eric was very kind and helpful. He arranged a taxi for us to and from Quito with a wonderful driver. This is a must stay if you are visiting Ecuador!

This sanctuary was a highlight for trip to Ecuador. The cabin was beautiful, cozy and had the most beautiful views and surroundings. The king sized bed was awesome, not a lot of them in Ecuador from the Airbnbs I searched. Ivan provided the staple breakfast items and we ate like kings/queens after walking around Mindo all day. The property is well kept and truly spectacular. We spent our morning bathing in the river nearby while the doggie kept us company and played lifeguard. We’d go back in heartbeat and we plan to sometime in the near future.
