Just added tv to guest room. You will love this cozy little house in the Northside of Richmond 5 minutes from the heart of the city and VCU campus. There is a bike trail right outside the house and its close to awesome restaurants. This house has pretty much everything you need including tv, internet, washer/dryer. Feel free to make yourself at home and utilize any area of the house. A super friendly dog lives here and there are chickens that live in a coup in the backyard.
Your bedroom has a tv with netflix/hulu/amazon/hbo/showtime. Feel free to utilize any area of the house including the third bedroom which is the office/yoga/craft room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry area, and living room. There is a small pool in backyard, feel free to take a dip and relax. Sometimes my boyfriend and his dog are over and they are super friendly.
The neighborhood is mediocre but I live on a really good, quiet, safe street. I am very friendly with all my neighbors. There is a cute coffee shop up the street, lots of parks near by, and all of Richmond’s amazing resturants are less than 5 minutes away. An Uber/Lyft ride to the city is usually between 4-7$. So worth it!

Welcome to The Zen Den! This is a peaceful guest suite with its own private entrance and off-street parking. The space is completely yours while you're here. When you aren't here, The Zen Den doubles as my art studio. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible while maintaining your privacy. The Zen Den is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. I supply the coffee, tea, sugar, cream and bottled water. Step through your door onto the patio in the garden.
The Zen Den is an addition onto our house but is totally separate. There are no shared spaces so you are completely on your own, unless you'd like to hang out! We can certainly share a beverage on the patio if that suits...even have a fire in the fire pit. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs (Benedict - 4yr/70 Lbs and Blaze - 9yr/6 Lbs) enjoy some time in the back yard, but not when we have guests...unless you specifically want some lovable dog time, in which case you just need to let me know you'd like them to be around in the yard. As for the cats (Storm, 5yrs and Oscar, 1yr), they may come look through your sliding glass door and you are welcome to get to know each other, but please don't let them fool you...they don't usually get let in through the Zen Den and they receive plenty of food, water, and Love. We have 2 teenage kids who you will likely never see because...video games, sports, friends, etc...but should you cross paths, they will likely ask if there is anything they can get for you to make you more comfortable. There is no TV (being a Zen Den and all) but bring your laptop or other device and make use of the free wifi. As for smoking, it is absolutely not allowed in the Zen Den, but feel free to do so on the patio and use the provided containers for disposing the waste.
"The city of Richmond combines big-city amenities with southern charm and ease. Traffic usually means it takes 10 minutes to get somewhere instead of five, which is good if you're trying to get to a reservation at a James Beard nominated restaurant, a gallery opening or a new exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. The city is home to easy parking, restaurants that win raves from local fans and national media and some of the best street art in the entire country. Shop at fun boutiques and vintage shops or stroll through Carytown, the city of Richmond is ready to impress." The Zen Den is literally minutes (1-5 miles) from some of the coolest and interesting parts of the city...and the restaurants are plentiful! You'll enjoy anything from casual diners and local artist hang outs to world class contemporary fine dining. No matter how long you stay, you'll never be able to experience all of the amazing culinary delights Richmond has to offer. A few highlights of nearby attractions and things to experience in Richmond, and their proximity to the Zen Den include: The Virginia Museum of Fine Art - 2.3 miles Scott's Addition - 1.8 miles For a description of this cool new trendy neighborhood: https://www.scottsaddition.com/about-scotts-addition/ The Baseball Diamond - 1 mile Downtown Richmond - 4 miles Virginia Commonwealth University - 2.3 miles VCU Institute of Contemporary Art - 2.5 miles Carytown - 4 miles Maymont Park - 3.8 miles Hollywood Cemetery - 3 miles Science Museum of VA - 2.2 miles Virginia Museum of History & Culture - 2.2 miles The James River at Belle Isle - 3.7 miles Virginia Holocaust Museum - 4.4 miles Richmond Raceway - 2.7 miles The Jefferson Hotel - 2.9 miles Richmond Folk Festival grounds - 3.2 miles The Canal Walk - 4 miles It goes on and on and on...you are close to everything but tucked into a quiet neighborhood filled with mature trees and the nicest people you will ever meet.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Bright, cheerful, art-filled space with tons of amenities. Walkable to restaurants, shops, galleries, museums, theaters, VCU (Monroe Park), even a brewery! If you're conscientious and respectful in shared spaces, and want a great value in a young, hip location, then welcome to our home! Walk Score 93/100 ☞ Book now!!! ☜
Welcome to the Tora room! This room is one of 3 upstairs bedrooms in our historic home (built in 1893). We live here full-time so it will be a shared living space with us and sometimes another Airbnb guest in the 3rd bedroom. Please use good self-awareness when booking with us (or any Airbnb) to ensure our place will be a good fit for your needs. We love hosting all kinds of people but have found that those over age 50 looking for upscale accommodations tend not to have as great of an experience with our shared space listings and may be better off booking a private suite or full apartment. Additionally, we absolutely love hosting couples, they are some of our favorite guests. However, if you are looking for a primarily romantic time, this is not the right listing for you! You must be OK with sharing a bathroom/shower and kitchen with us and other guests, and possess the conscientiousness and patience that this can sometimes require (and please no excessively long showers or baths). We have been Airbnb Superhosts for over 2 years and are truly enjoying sharing our beautiful home with Richmond's many visitors!
Richmond locals know that the Fan is the place to be. An eclectic mix of residential and commercial spaces, this is where RVA natives come for their favorite shops, bars, and restaurants. Additionally, if you are a fan of historic architecture spanning over 2 centuries, the Fan is the place to visit. Walking around neighboring streets, you will find a variety of architectural styles such as Italianate, Richardsonian Romanesque, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Bungalow, American Foursquare, Tudor Revival, Spanish Colonial, and Art Deco. (Not to mention some impressive front yard gardens!) We live right where the residential neighborhoods become mixed use, so there are plenty of shops to pop into or restaurants to try as you explore the beauty and culture of the area. Blame the streetcar line that ran through Barton Heights and ended before it reached Brookland Park. "Brookland Park didn’t take off until the trolley line extended into the neighborhood in the early 1900s," said Kim Chen, an architectural historian with the Johannas Design Group. In fact, with the streetcar running north and west of Barton Heights after the turn of the century, several subdivisions sprouted up in what had been open farmland, filling in the gaps between Barton Heights, Brookland Park and Battery Court, she added. Today, seven of those streetcar suburbs, along with Brookland Park, make up the Brookland Park Historic District, which runs north from Norwood Avenue to West Ladies Mile Road and east from Edgewood Avenue to the Richmond-Henrico Turnpike. "Brookland Park is the largest and earliest" of the eight subdivisions, said Chen, who co-wrote the successful nomination for the historic district’s listing in the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places. Two other subdivisions in the historic district broke ground shortly after Brookland Park in the mid-1890s, while another four got started between 1910 and 1914, after the streetcar had established steady traffic through the area. Construction in the historic district’s last subdivision began in 1924. The majority of the homes in the historic district were built between 1910 and 1940. (The district’s oldest home, a Greek Revival farmhouse built circa 1840, predates North Side’s suburban development by a half-century.) The historic district’s architectural styles are similar to other North Side neighborhoods of the period, many of which developers marketed to Richmond’s middle class.

Down the hall is a bedroom with queen-sized bed, large window, large closet, and dresser. Finally, a full-sized washer and dryer and a bathroom with spacious shower round out the space. For families with children, we can provide a pack-n-play.
Battery Park is on the north side of Richmond. We enjoy tree-lined streets, grand 1920s-vintage houses, and a beautiful park of the same name. The park boasts high-quality tennis courts (this is where tennis star Arthur Ashe grew up), playgrounds, and walking/running paths. The neighborhood is centrally located; Downtown is a less than 10 minute drive away and Scott's Addition is 5 minutes away. Short Pump is about 20 min away, Church Hill 15 min, and attractions like the Richmond Raceway, the VMFA, and Ginter Botanical Gardens only a 10-12 min drive each.

This is a lovely apartment in a nice neighborhood. It is right in the city, behind VCU so it isn't too far from popular locations. I live right up the road from a main street so places to eat and visit are right around the corner.
I have a 2 bedroom apartment right in the middle of Richmond, Virginia. You will have your own private entrance around back, as well as a large bathroom connected to your room.
My home is right in the city so it's a perfect spot. I have lived in Richmond my whole life so I can recommend wonderful places to eat and visit.
