Shops, music, food, everything right down the street! And my personal favorite part that not everyone has the luxury of enjoying: when I'm done with the excitement of the day I can just close the doors and turn off the excitement on demand. My home is quiet & cozy when I want it to be. After a hard day at SXSW or ACL or just cruising downtown, you can finally return home to peace and tranquility.

Are you looking for somewhere a little different to stay? This back house is a converted artist's workshop situated in the shade of a giant oak tree. It invites reflection amidst stained glass views and tree-lofted contemplative ease. It is where delight and the unexpected meet, through a secret garden gate, just for you. Amidst items that tell a story, the sanctuary will encourage you to reflect on your own. Awaiting is your own creative retreat and quiet time for connecting within.
This sanctuary in the midst of vibrant east Austin is an ideal place to recharge. Generous windows and glass doors look out into a shaded yard with dappled light and an outdoor patio. The interior has an equipped kitchen, shower with garden view, and a sumptuously appointed queen memory foam bed located at the opposite end of the living space. It features a feather stuffed sofa and a long built in standing height desk looking out onto the yard. There is access to fiber internet (wireless or wired). The light filled kitchen kitchen has a 4 burner gas stove and the implements you will need to craft whatever deliciousness calls to you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563
Central East Austin is a diverse and eclectic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. It is the kind of neighborhood where you feel like you are somewhere particular, somewhere that is specific to a place. In addition to being the location of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood!

Charming, contemporarily furnished studio/guesthouse in the heart of East Austin. Just couple blocks away from amazing restaurants, bbq, cafes, bars, breweries, and so much more. Unbeatable location with Downtown, Convention Center, Rainey and Red River districts, TownLake Bike Trail and UT only minutes away. The airport and COTA are 15 min away. Perfect for weekend getaway, business trip or cozy home base while exploring everything Austin has to offer.
New contemporary studio/guesthouse, part of a home completed in 2018. Very bright and airy with high windows and a private keyless entry, detached from the main house where I live. Eclectic and modern furniture with pieces collected from my travels around the world. Refreshments stocked fridge and Keurig coffee maker. Modern bathroom with 12 foot waterfall shower and basic toiletries. Super comfortable queen size bed with new soft cotton bedding that will accommodate up to two people comfortably. Kitchen, washer/dryer, and roof top deck (with amazing downtown views) in the main house are available upon request. You'll have access to high speed internet and SmartTV with Netflix and all other streaming services. Parking is available within the gated driveway and remote gate opener will be provided for easier access. Additional parking spot is available next to the house.
East Austin is the "it" neighborhood. Chock full or restaurants, bars, boutiques, and BBQ, it's a stone's throw from everything. Take a stroll around the neighborhood to check out its colorful bungalows old and new, hit up Franklin's or la Barbecue for some to-die-for BBQ, or grab an espresso at the neighborhood brew shops, Cuvée and Figure 8 Coffee. Also, East Austin love note wouldn’t be complete without The White Horse, the eclectic, storied and hipster-friendly honky tonk that defies definition.

This precious bungalow is ideal for exploring the east side and accessing downtown. Relax on the patio with coffee from the stocked coffee bar. Sink into the old fashioned tub with aromatic bath salts. Savor the basket of wine and snacks. Enjoy! Walk to the coolest bars, coffee shops, and eateries of Austin’s East Side. Access Town Lake with amazing pathways and views of downtown. Rent a bike or scooter for an easy jaunt into downtown. On a busy street, but close to everything!
Our small house is perfect for 2-4 people. With a full kitchen and a small back yard, it’ll be tempting to stay in for breakfast or dinner. Spread onto the back patio for drinks or a stay in dinner. We leave plenty of linens for the pull out couch.
There is a long narrow driveway alongside the home. It is for your use. Three cars could feasibly fit in the driveway. It is on a busy road, so there is no on street parking.

Enjoy your own private entrance into this large room with en-suite bath. Equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker you can stay in or go out! This room is newly remodeled with hardwood floors, ceiling fan, central air, and the works! Nestled between the East Austin and Govalle neighborhoods, there’s so much to do (and eat) around here. There’s ample private parking in the front of the house and bird and lime scooters at your doorstep!
Everything here is private, including the room and bathroom. No need to walk through any common spaces, this is your own private suite :) Equipped with a full sized bed and air mattress there’s plenty of room and sleeping space for everyone. There’s ample private parking out front. It’s about a 4 minute Uber or Lyft to East 6th and 10 minutes to downtown. Austin has a number of scooter services including bird, lime and lift. There’s a drop-off point right outside of the house, so you can easily scoot around the east side or to downtown! The strip of bars on Webberville Road is about a seven minute walk through Zaragoza Park (across the street). Awesome spots on that road include Kitty Cohens, Gourmands, Fleet Coffee, the Cavalier, and Lost Well. There isn’t laundry on-site however Estrada’s Cleaners is less than a five minute walk away and they offer drop-off cleanings in less than an hour!
Arguably the fastest growing neighborhood in Austin, the eclectic East Side is where old meets new and fresh eateries and boutiques are popping up like wildflowers. Dig a little deeper and discover rich history and culture everywhere you look. There are a number of awesome spots close to your Airbnb to spend an afternoon, grab a coffee, or enjoy a meal... Farms and Plant Nurseries Govalle is known for its urban farms. Visit the farmers’ market stands at Boggy Creek Farm and Springdale Farm. You can’t find produce more local than this. Tillery Street Plant Company and East Austin Succulents offer a one-stop shop to pick up one of Austin's famous cacti. Health and Well-being Get a workout that you’ll feel in the morning at the Austin Bouldering Project. This 50,000-square-foot space is the largest bouldering facility in the U.S., and you can check out the amenities with a $16 day pass. Next door at Daily Greens you can stock up on freshly pressed juices. Arts and Crafts There is an enclave of artists working out of the Canopy galleries. One of those is the showroom of Keith Kreeger Studios, where you can see hand-thrown porcelain pottery with minimalist designs. Kreeger opened his space because he says he “hoped that Canopy would become a hub of the creative community here in East Austin.” Landmarks One of the most peaceful parks in East Austin is also one of the most overlooked. It’s the Texas State Cemetery. I know hanging out with dead folks isn’t on most to-do lists, but this cemetery is a must-do. Buried on this hallowed ground are numerous Texans who made Texas what it is today, including Stephen F. Austin, himself. There are Texas Rangers (e.g. Bigfoot Wallace), athletes (e.g. Darrell K. Royal), Governors (e.g. John Connally), artists (e.g. James Michener) and trailblazers (e.g. Barbara Jordan). The names go on and on and deserve at least a moment of your respect as you pass through town. If you’re in the mood for history, head to the French Legation Museum. This is the oldest house in Austin still at its original location and was built in the 1830’s as the French Embassy to the sovereign nation of Texas. It gives a unique glimpse into French life on the Texas frontier. Sips and Snacks Zhi Tea has a large selection of specialty teas, as well as a menu of light snacks. This teahouse has a small cafe, a retail area and a backyard where dogs are welcome. Across the East Side you’ll notice food trucks on almost every corner. One of the tastiest is Thai-Kun, bringing Thai street food to Texas. It was ranked by Bon Appetit magazine as one of the top 10 new restaurants in America in 2014 – and it’s a restaurant on wheels! The food here packs a flavorful punch and I’m still dreaming about the waterfall pork. From the outside, Veracruz might look like just another East Side taco spot with picnic tables, tattooed patrons, and a mostly taco-based menu. But this place is special. The migas taco is a city-wide favorite, and the al pastor taco is full of flavor. These are the kind of Austin tacos tourists will spend their whole SXSW experience searching for, and hopefully never find because no one told them the East Side was a thing. At Sa-Tén you’ll find a cafe humming with the laptops of Austin’s many freelancers and telecommuters. The menu features small plates and Japanese-style curry. Sit near the far wall and bask in the glow of an old-fashioned TV that’s been repurposed as a fish tank. Bars and Breweries The strip of bars on Webberville Road is about a seven minute walk through Zaragoza Park (across the street). Awesome spots on that road include Kitty Cohens, Gourmands, Fleet Coffee, the Cavalier, and Lost Well. Kitty Cohen’s may have a pool, but it’s nothing like Barton Springs or Deep Eddy. Instead of swimming laps or listening to screaming four-year-olds, you go to Kitty Cohen’s to dip your toes in the two-foot-deep water and drink cocktails with names like Bo Derek and Roman Holiday. With pink flamingo wallpaper, live music on Sundays, and rotating restaurant pop-ups, it’s one of our favorite spots to cool off on the East Side - no lifeguard required. Drop into the Easciders tasting room to sample a range of dry and sweet ciders. I recommend checking out tours of the other breweries in the area including Hops & Grain, Zilker Brewing, and Lazarus to name a few. For everyone who complains that Rainey Street just isn’t what it used to be, Lustre Pearl East is the solution. It’s the original bungalow that was uprooted from Rainey when they needed to make way for condos, but now with more outdoor space and way fewer UT students. Even though it’s further east than most places on this list, it’s worth the extra five minute bike or Uber ride. It’s never too crowded, but there are always enough people to make it feel like a house party you’d actually want to be at. Restaurants Launderette is a beautifully designed restaurant from Chef Rene Ortiz in the heart of the Eastside has created a buzz about its modern interpretation of Mediterranean food. You can expect shareable plates that range from hamachi crudo to chilled beef tongue done with bright flavors. Toast is on the menu, and the version with crab is fantastic. This restaurant will remind you that dinner can be a gift for the senses. With its funky French motif, Justine’s Brasserie will remind you of going to someone’s house for a great dinner party. The oldest restaurant on the list, this French restaurant will make you want to hang out with all your new best friends who were also invited to the party as you enjoy steak frites, homemade charcuterie, and cote de pore. Jacoby’s is a real Texas restaurant beautifully done on the banks of Lady Bird Lake. The owners get their beef, lamb, and goat from their family farm in West Texas. They also take pride in sourcing produce as locally as possible. You will see many central Texas classics done to exacting standards, like chicken fried steak on waffles, shrimp and grits, and cornmeal-crusted rainbow trout. Juniper, with its valet service and nicely-plated dishes, feels more grown up than a lot of other spots in the neighborhood - and the upscale Italian food is really good. Come for rich pastas, puffy potatoes, and vegetables grilled with just the slightest taste of char. And definitely keep this place in mind if you want a fancy-ish brunch spot where you probably won’t have to wait for a table. Kemuri Tatsu-ya brought with it a whole new food category: Japan-meets-Texas, involving things like “guaca-poke” and brisket ramen. The “BBQ Boat” allows you to test out a few different meats, including their brisket, which is pretty good considering you’re not at a pure BBQ spot. We’d lean more toward the ramen, smoked fish options, and chicken yakitori, though. This place is definitely a scene at night.

The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. In cases of Instant Books, we'll submit a request for pet fee payment through the Airbnb system. Upscale 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with balcony, resort-style pool and rooftop lounge near downtown Austin 2018-OL-107672
Live it up in this swank 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment in Austin’s up and coming Holly neighborhood. Tall ceilings, posh decor, chic furniture and resort-style amenities make this apartment the perfect launchpad for enjoying East Austin’s eclectic culture, hip new breweries, restaurants and neighborhood parks. Here, you get the quieter old-neighborhood feel with green spaces and tall trees, plus easy access to downtown’s famous music venues. Come home to a resort-style pool, a rooftop lounge with skyline views, plus sundecks and courtyards! (Planning an Austin bachelor or bachelorette party? Congratulations, and we wish you well! But, because we share this building with long-term residents, this isn’t the place to host one.)

Austin Weird and Groovy! We had so much fun decorating this place. We filled the walls with color and then sprinkled the House with Black & White touches. Our little home is the perfect size for 1-5 people. It features 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The living room futon, unfolds into a Full size bed. Enjoy cooking in our large open kitchen or take a stroll to many food trucks, and quirky bars. Rated 1 of Austin’s best Old Fashioned’s can be found just down the street at Whisler’s.
The neighborhood is a taste of what makes the Eastside such an awesome scene, so much so everyone wants to have a bit of real-estate here. Our house interior is colorful (literally) w/neighbors who are vibrant & friendly. Just the right taste so you know why many people love calling the area home. In every direction a mere 5 minutes away is access to just about everything you need: the latest bars, a few clubs, restaurants, food trucks, shopping. You name it. Not to mention downtown is a 5 minute drive away, slightly more w/traffic. Or you could ditch the car, rent a bike & be downtown in under a 10 minute ride.
Guests are a 2 minute walk from Figure 8, sweet neighborhood cafe for your morn or aft coffee or tea. Head north for 3 - 5 minute drive & have a drink at some of our fav neighborhood bars like King Bee; Rio Rita The Wheel, Butterfly Bar to name a few. Hungry in that same direction & time are boss restaurants like Salty Sow, Dai Due, Contigo, yet again just a few. Just a bit further takes you to Airport which has a host of other restaurants & close as well is North Loop, home to other quaint bars & restaurants. Head 3 mins east of our sweet abode & you have access to yoga studios, more great bars, restaurants & food trucks. Nickel City; Blue Dahlia; Old Thousand. Seriously E11th is a great street, also houses Quickie Pickie, a retro food mart w/great food & drinks to purchase. Want to head south of our sweet dwelling the party just continues! There's more bars, restaurants, dancing, shopping & yoga. Welcome to East-6th my friends. Absolutely love it. Start at Whisler's for a drink, grab a snack from the onsite food trailer EastSide Kings; mosey on down for another quick drink & game of pool from Liberty Bar. Meander a bit further for a country dance & always wicked band at White Horse. Feel to strut your stuff to a different tune, pop into The Volstead to shake that tail-feather. Grab another drink & some food from the ever tasty Licha's. Then perhaps work that goodness off w/a zen yet sweaty yoga-sash at one of my haunts Practice Yoga. Our home is near it all. Cause I haven't even yet got to the fun nooks & crannies that downtown abates ;)

Our apartment is located in the Holly Neighborhood in the heart of East Austin and has a view of Lady Bird Lake. We designed and built the unit to accommodate family visiting from out of state. We have equipped the apartment for an extended or short-term stay with modern amenities for a homey experience. The location is super close to downtown, Oracle, Lady Bird Lake, Roy Guerrero Park, F1 and COTA, 6th Street, shops and food trucks on Cesar Chavez St., great restaurants, bars and breweries.
The Willow Street Studio is a sunny open space with craftsman details and comfortable, modern furnishings. The apartment has large windows for light and a balcony with view of Lady Bird Lake. Start your morning with a cup of coffee on the balcony, then go for a walk along the lake trail. In the evening, you can walk to one of the many restaurants in the area. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and dine at home with an oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. The king and double beds are outfitted with comfortable linens and the bathroom is well lit with a large mirror and full size bathtub. We also provide free WiFi internet and a Smart TV. The studio is within walking distance to East Cesar Chavez restaurants and bars including Juan in a Million, Launderette, LaBarbeque, and Kemuri to name a few. We are two miles from downtown, Rainey Street, and the Convention Center and only 6.5 miles to ABIA Airport. We are also just over the bridge from south Lakeshore offices and restaurants and 2 miles to Emo’s on Riverside Drive. Metro Bus Number 17 is just a block away and will take you straight downtown in minutes. Read our neighborhood guide for a list of our favorite things to do nearby. Our studio is a block away from the hike and bike trail that loops around Lady Bird Lake. The 10 mile loop goes from Pleasant Valley Road all the way to the MOPAC Bridge. You can go on an amazing hike through the City or walk or bike on this trail to Zilker Park for ACL Fest, to downtown for SXSW, shops on Congress, or for a swim in Barton Springs.
There is so much to talk about in the Holly Neighborhood! The heart of Holly is Cesar Chavez Street with many restaurants, bars, stores, and food trucks. Holly is in close proximity to downtown and Lady Bird Lake and also the central location convenient to just about anywhere in Austin.

It's ideal for those who want be close to downtown but want to get away and relax from the hustle & bustle. Nestled in the creative vibes unique to East Austin, this studio is ideal for friends/couples that enjoy a hip & convenient location in Austin. With views of downtown from the roof top deck to bars & breweries within walking distance you won't find a better place!
This detached studio is private and has it's own paved entrance. My girlfriend and I live in the main house and both of these houses are guarded with a metal gate and 4 security cameras. Please note our entry is hard to find as we are a B unit with our entrance being the alley way. You will have 1 parking spot available which is to the left of the garage. It is first come first serve but is usually available. The studio was built in February 2018 and features 12 foot waterfall shower, google fiber, mini fridge, and complimentary coffee. I've added creamer, sugar as well as breakfast bars for our guests. I also provide super soft towels along with Malin + Goetz products. We have a smart TV with Hulu, Amazon Video, Showtime, Netflix and other movie channels. This is an ideal spot if you want to be closer to downtown but want to see another area of Austin. There is the metro rail that is a few blocks down the street that takes you directly to downtown but an Uber is $5 or so. We also have a Labradoodle puppy that lives with us that’s very friendly and loving! His name is Hudson and just wants to be petted and give kisses.
We live in the heart of the East Side with restaurants and bars around. We have a classic Mexican restaurant in front of us where you can get tacos on the fly. You can also walk to Kitty Cohens, Whistlers, Spun Icecream, La Barbeque (A MUST!) Gourmounds, Cuvée Coffee, Counter Cafe and many more from our location. Breweries: Lazarus and Zilker Breweries are 8 mins walking distance and there is Blue Owl for sour beers, Friends and Allies Brewery, Hops and Grain (walking distance),

Our spacious master suite has a secure, private entrance, king-sized bed, twin bed, and full private bathroom. Pac n play available if needed! Guests do not have access to the rest of the house. We live in the house with our dog, cat, and two children (ages 3 and 5). We provide ear plugs and a white noise machine, but there is still "family noise" plus a pair of exuberant chickens in the yard, so if you want to sleep in late this may not be the spot for you. Tesla EV charging available.
Our master bedroom comfortably sleeps two people, sharing a king-sized bed, on a new mattress with a memory foam mattress topper. If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, there is also a double high mattress twin bed that doubles as a quasi couch . Please ask if you'll need bedding for the twin bed and we'll prepare it for you. We have a pac'n'play for a little one that guests can borrow. Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. We ask guests to alert us when they check out so we can promptly prepare the space for incoming guests. We keep the place well stocked with all of the bedroom and bathroom basics, as well as extra towels and blankets if needed. We have four pillows on the bed, soft 400-thread count sheets, and a comforter. The bathroom wall is shared with our kitchen, and there is a locked door that leads into a hallway in our house. We've done our best with sound insulation, plus there's a white noise machine and ear plugs in the room for your convenience. We'll do our absolute best to keep the house quiet between 11pm and 7am, and kindly ask that our guests do the same. Obviously, toddlers are their own special breed, and can be somewhat unpredictable, but we try to take the edge off this by offering a low nightly price, leaving a bottle of wine for our guests, and stocking the room with lots of coffee and snacks. We are: - 10 minutes (6.6 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport - 5 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Austin Convention Center - Approx. $6 or $7 taxi ride from downtown. - 1.7 miles to Austin's famous Rainey Street bar and restaurant district. We recommend taking a taxi unless you feel like a 30 minute walk. - 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam) If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail - head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown. There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries: - JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away - Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, fantastic breakfast tacos for only $2 a piece - La Barbecue on E Cesar Chavez (we recommend preordering, at least 5 days in advance, to save yourself a couple of hours in a long line for the best brisket in town). - Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, 1.5 blocks away, fantastic Texas & Japanese fusion food - Juniper, 1 block away, a small plates restaurant with great cocktails - Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away - Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away - Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away - HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away - Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away - Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away - Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu. There are many more options for dining and services. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes. We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with Airbnb hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve the experience for yourself and future guests.
The East Side is a wonderful, artsy, quirky place. It's still a little rough around the edges, as is the case in any gentrifying neighborhood. We always feel perfectly safe, and our street is well lit and comfortably "busy", while still being completely residential. We've never had issues with street parking.

Explore Austin from our conveniently-located, East Austin bungalow. Our newly-renovated, in-law suite has a private entrance, bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom w/shower! Perfect for a week-long adventure, weekend getaway or an overnight business trip. You'll be walking distance to the best coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and boutiques Austin has to offer.
The suite is located on the ground floor, around the side of the property. The house was built in 1931, but was completely renovated in 2017. That said, one quirk remains - the ceiling height of this first floor room is 6'5". So no jumping jacks! :) We've done our best to accommodate our taller guests without issue - including installing a hand-held shower head - but it's something to keep in mind if you are 6' or taller! The area includes the main bedroom with a queen sized pillow-top bed, a small desk, two chairs, a 32" TV (with an Amazon Firestick), free wifi access, and space for your hanging and folded clothes. As you move to the back of the space, you'll have your full bathroom and the kitchenette - equipped with a microwave, mini fridge/freezer, Keurig, and dining nook.
We live on a quiet street with little traffic. There are new coffee shops, restaurants, and bars opening constantly - so much it's hard to keep up, but it makes things exciting and new every time we go out! Some of our favorite spots for food & drink include: Figure 8 (coffee) Hillside Farmacy (brunch) Franklin's Barbecue (yes, THE Franklin's) Quickie Pickie (snacks/sandwiches/C-store) Lazarus Brewery (tacos & beer) Licha's Cantina (authentic Mexican) and Whisler's (cocktails & drinks) ...all of which are within ONE mile. If you're looking for activities, Practice Yoga is a great donation-based studio nearby (1.1miles). Zilker Park - the site of ACL Fest - is a short drive (2.8miles), there you can swim at Barton Springs Pool or rent paddle boards on the river. You could even drop in at our friend's gym, Crossfit Lumos (2.8miles) for a real sweaty time. Again, these are just some of our favorites. Feel free to ask us for other suggestions! We have tons more.

Live like a local and stay in the heart of East Austin! Boasting eclectic, urban farmhouse-style vibes, the house sleeps up to 5 guests and includes 2 bikes. Wake up to birds chirping in the peach tree, enjoy dinner under the stars, and walk everywhere. When you're visiting, location is everything and this spot is close to it all. Read our neighborhood description for a comprehensive walking guide and our favorite things to do nearby.
With over 500 square feet, the house is just the right amount of cozy. The kitchen has what you need to cook at home: pots, pans, cutting board, knife, spatulas, dishware, silverware, stove/oven, refrigerator, and a new microwave. Recent additions include a new 42” tv and a washer and dryer. For early mornings, there is a 4-cup coffee maker with ground coffee and mugs. Sip your coffee on the outdoor patio and enjoy your privacy with your own courtyard and separate entrance on San Saba Street. The space is yours alone so you can relax while on vacation.
Centrally located within walking distance to all the new hip East Austin restaurants and bars, Holly neighborhood is in the middle of it all. It's a 10-minute drive from the airport, 10-minute bike ride to downtown, and 10-minute walk to town lake. Holly is the quintessential, eclectic neighborhood keeping Austin weird with remodeled bungalows next door to brand new construction. Mature pecan trees shade back yards and overgrown gardens peak around the sidewalks. Visitors appreciate Holly for its walkability and proximity to many points of interest. Whether you want to be near the bars or urban farms, Holly is the best place to experience Austin like a local. Here are some of our favorite spots to grab a bite in Holly. To get your coffee fix, walk to Greater Goods Coffee and Cuvée or bike to Cenote. Do you live for Brunch? Walk to Jacoby's and Monger's (try the lobster omelet!) or bike up the hill to Hillside Farmacy (if the line is too long, head next door to Paperboy). Vegans from all over Austin flock to Counter Culture for their eggs benedict minus the eggs. Craving something healthy? Juiceland is 2 blocks away on Caesar Chavez. With endless smoothie options and fresh squeezed juices, it is your cure to hangovers or upset stomachs. Our favorite way to enjoy lunch is walking to the food trucks nearby. Guests rave about La Barbeque inside Quickie Pickie and we love Dee Dee off 5th and Perdenales. Take a spin on the bikes down East 7th to Takoba and Kebabilicious. If you're looking for a night of fine dining, walk to Juniper or Tillery (great place to watch the sunset). Bike to Launderette (get everything, but especially get the whole fish), Justine's (most commonly known for its celebrity spottings and the infinite mirror room) or Buenos Aires Cafe. Bufalina is another one of our favorite spots, but it's better for date night, not for big groups. If you're feeling adventurous, Kemuri Tatsu-ya is 2 blocks east on 2nd Street boasting dishes with Japanese-Texas pairings. Eat, drink and play games at these bars with bites. You can walk to Lustre Pearl and Whisler's (featuring our favorite food truck Thai-Kun every day of the week and an upstairs mezcal-tasting bar on the weekends). If you're into craft beer, we love the flights at Hops and Grain Brewing and sour beer at Blue Owl Brewing. On your way back to the airport, check out Live Oak Brewery, known for their hefeweizen. Ballin' on a budget? The cheapest breakfast you will ever have is The Don Juan at Juan in a Million. Lustre Pearl also has a pretty good egg sandwich for breakfast. The food trucks are your best bet for affordable lunches and dinners. If you have a car, our favorite nearby Asian restaurants are 888 Bistro on Oltorf (you won't be disappointed with the hot pot and Mongolian Beef) and Koriente on 7th (get the Mix Mix with salmon and avocado). The Waller Creek Pub has surprisingly amazing food; we regularly order The Rueben, but just tried the Yard Bard and it did not disappoint. For those with a sweet tooth, we love these desserts on the East Side. Bike to Prohibition Creamery and order the RumChata or walk to Hay Elotes and order the Mango Hill. Justine's has one of the best Creme Brûlée's in the world by far and Dee Dee's mango sticky rice is on point. Other than eating, we also love biking downtown by way of town lake (safest route) or 5th St/railroad, hitting the farmer's market at Springdale Farm on Saturday, and visiting the local art studios (check out Canopy). For socializing, the nearby bars offer a range of entertainment from live music at Hotel Vegas and the Historic Scoot Inn to craft cocktails at Whisler's and East Tavern. Brittanie is a big fan of the frosé at Kitty Cohen's, too. While there is so much to do in Holly, don't forget to explore the rest of Austin known for its swimming holes and Tex-Mex. If you only had one day to explore another neighborhood, take the bikes down the trail straight to Barton Springs and plunge into 68-degree year-round water. After soaking up the sun, cool off with a SnowCone, then take a stroll down SoCo before heading home. Get the skinny margaritas at Güero's (they also have the best queso in town) and take a break from your diet with Italian bites from Vespaio or Botticello's (try the butternut squash ravioli - YUM!) If you like to sing (or watch others botch your favorite songs), you can't leave SoCo without stopping by Ego's karaoke bar. Watch the sunset underneath the bridge as 3 million bats fly over your head. Then see a live show at Stubb's and dance until 3 am at Barbarella. If you're biking back, get home safely by following the railroad on 5th street. That is the perfect summer day in Austin if you want to explore beyond Holly.

Being on the East Side of Austin and about a mile from downtown; it is within walking and bicycling distance (about 1 mile) from the Hike and Bike Trail, Lady Bird Lake, 6th Street, Historic Rainey Street, major venues and the newest restaurants, cafes and bars in this rapidly changing area of the city. I love that everything I need is so close to me. It’s all walking and bicycling distance and I don’t really need to leave the immediate area to find things to do. I can visit art galleries, take a yoga class or see a movie, have a latte at one of the many new cafes, or visit the newly opened vintage clothing shop down the street. I love being close to the lake; where I can go hiking, kayaking and paddle-boarding.
