What you'll do

Get ready to sweat a bit while touring San Sebastian. Our mission will be to reach the Castillo de la Mota that is located on the top of Mount Urgull. To do this we will first run through parts of the city in and out of the tourist routes.

We will meet outside of San Telmo museum to and start warming up as we pass through the streets of the old part of the city.

We will accelerate the pace by running along the Urumea river towards Cristina Enea park. We will continue our tour passing the Good Shepherd church and we will go up to the Miramar palace and then return by the bay of La Concha to the old part where we will find the small and charismatic port of San Sebastian before the ascent by one of the slopes that will take us to the top of Mount Urgull.

Along the way we will make stops at different points and while we take a breath I will tell you about San Sebastian and of course you can take spectacular photos of the views we will have.

The last stop will be at the top of Mt. Urgull, 123 m high, where we will arrive triumphantly at Castillo de la Mota, now converted into a museum House of History (Free admission - Open every day 11 am to 8 pm). Here we will conclude our mission.

Hi! I've been a TRX trainer and functional in recent years. Training and personal development are important for me and I would like to share this experience with people like you who are looking to take advantage of their time when traveling. In this case to get to know San Sebastian while we make a pleasant journey through its streets.

I have been fortunate to travel through different countries in Latin America, the United States and recently Europe. I love history, geography and how societies shape their cultures and traditions. History and art museums, and architecture are my favorite places when traveling.

Where you'll be

Urgull is a small mountain but of great historical and geographical importance for the city. It has many slopes and paths that fork and take you to different places, sometimes being a bit labyrinthine but fun to walk.

I absolutely loved this experience! Carlos was a super knowledgable and friendly guide, and I loved seeing the city and getting exercise at the same time. I'm currently training for the marathon, and Carlos tailored our run to fit my training needs. He also allowed me to practice some of my very limited Spanish, y para eso, queria decir gracias! Carlos knows so much about the city, its history, and its culture. I learned so much from him, and I will remember this experience forever. Thanks!

Carlos was a great Guide through San Sebastian. Our request to run at a different time of day was immediately accepted. It was very hot outside, but Carlos adapted to our fitness and the hot weather. Carlos told as a lot about the history of the city and gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants. It was just a great time and a good opportunity to get an overview over San Sebastian in a short amount of time. Thank you Carlos!

Carlos has an incredibly broad range of knowledge around history, nature, war and culture. He adapts to your running pace along the tour, which includes breathtaking views from multiple historic sites. His adherence to safety protocol is impeccable and all the running makes you feel better about guzzling pintxos and inhaling txakoli. Totally worth it and highly recommended!

Carlos is a nice guide about the history and daily life restaurant bar of San Sebastián. He studied a lot about the history. I met him at the San Telmo museum on time and visited historical places by jogging. I know Spanish so it was more than fun talking in Spanish. It is not so hard course. It was fun running together with nice talking. I would like to join Marathon In San Sebastián in the future.

Carlos is a friendly and welcoming host. I enjoyed the scenic run with Carlos. It was really nice to see the area, and he shares the local tips. There were many steps in the running course, but it is worth it to see great views!
