What you'll do

The tour begins in the heart of Vancouver where we will depart, on foot, and travel through the bustling streets of the downtown core. We will pass by a number of historic city
landmarks, great shopping spots, and excellent restaurants and cafes that you may wish to visit during your stay. We will make our way to one of Vancouver’s busiest transportation centres: Waterfront Station, itself away in Vancouver history and tradition. There we will board the only commuter rail line in Western Canada: The West Coast Express (fare included with experience). We will travel east along Burrard Inlet with exceptional views of the North Shore Mountains, the Vancouver Waterfront, and be able to see some facilities of Port Metro Vancouver, one of North America’s busiest ports. We will disembark in Coquitlam, a suburb of Vancouver, where we will transfer to Vancouver’s light rail transit (LRT) system: SkyTrain. We will travel back into Vancouver, disembarking back at Waterfront Station. We will then transfer to the Canada Line, part of the SkyTrain network, and return to Robson Square.
Other things to note
Please bring comfortable walking shoes, snacks and lots of water (if needed), and, of course, a positive attitude with excitement at trying something new. If you have mobility challenges please contact us ahead of time and we will happily accommodate you.

My name is Deacon Jones. I was born and raised here in Vancouver and I have a passion for working in the travel & tourism industry, something I have been doing for the past twelve years (on and off). In addition, I have a visual impairment which has required me to become an expert at using the public transportation system in and around Vancouver. Combining these two experiences guests will learn how to navigate the Vancouver transit system while being educated about local landmarks, attractions, and the history of our great city.

This tour would be really great for locals and people new to the city to learn how to get around like a local. Deacon is very knowledgeable of transit system, routes, and neighborhoods and how to get around town. This is not a tour if you are looking for traditional touristy landmarks. Although we had problems connecting in the beginning, he did call us to find us so it worked out and the tour got extended to accommodate.
