What you'll do

We start this amazing experience by picking our clients up from their lodging establishments, to go to the port of Puno by Van, where they prepare and receive instructions from me to start this kayaking experience, the kayaks are professional, individual, very stable, and nobody requires previous experience to practice kayaking, I will give them a personal flotation device, and all the time we will be accompanied on our route to the Uros by a backup boat, we will kayaking through the Natural Reservation of Titicaca approximately 45 minutes where we will observe birds, plants, and finally we will see how they live one of the oldest ethnic groups in America, Los Uros, who live in the middle of Lake Titicaca on floating islands made of totora, which we will see throughout our tour, we will have time to visit an island Uro floating, we will get down there, we will see how they live, what they do to survive, and we will observe how is possible people living like more than 800 years ago in this way, and most importantly, the harmony in which they live with nature, the syncretism between the modern and the traditional is something so incredible that it is worth sharing with all the world. After the encounter with this ethnic group, we will return to the port paddling our kayaks. Where they are waiting for us to return to Puno.

Where you'll be

The Natural Reservation of Titicaca which is an area protected by the Peruvian state. The Community of the Uros, which is an ancestral ethnic group living on artificial islands made by themselves in the middle of Lake Titicaca. The Reed area of Lake Titicaca, which is an area where the reed (totora) grows, and is widely used by the Uros to make their islands, their houses, their boats, even they eat the reed.
